The Best Call of Duty So Far???

I realize about 60% of you are going to post responses similar to this "They all suck", but for everyone who is a fan of these games, what do ya think? So far I think Modern Warfare 2 is the best. All the weapons handled well, and felt pretty balanced. I really liked all the killstreaks too. Black ops just has too many worthless killstreaks, and the guns just aren't as exciting to unlock. My second is definitly World at War, nothing like the original (simple) zombies level.

This man is correct. United Offensive had some of the best multiplayer maps in any game I've seen. Rhinevalley and Foy come to mind.

Call of duty 4 modern warfare

MW2 for me bro...just the fact that you become the God of destruction and can end the game with a nuke. It was sooooooooo satisfying getting my first nuke...especially after the opposing team pummeled us and talked much trash in the previous game.

I never knew how much fun it was to bring the wrath of God down on trash talkers!!! :P....sorry guys, I straid a little off topic!!!

black ops doesnt have worthless killstreaks, it depends on your playstyle. nobody said you have to get 40+ kills a game, so you dont HAVE to use dogs and chopper gunner every game. i like to mix it up now and again. but in answer to the question, id say COD4, although i strangely enjoy MW2 multiplayer more, i just liked everything about cod 4

1. Modern Warfare 2-- I actually loved this game. I loved all the different perks, killstreaks, weapons, emblems, and callsigns. I spent countless hours trying to get new emblems and callsigns. The only thing I didn't like about this game was all the noob-tubers, the nuke, and tactical insertion. Otherwise I thought it was a great game. I really, really hope they bring back all those cool callsigns and emblems-- so much better than the custom emblems of Black Ops.

2. Black Ops-- I liked the multi-player options in MW2 better, but Black Ops had super-fun wager modes, Nazi Zombies, better campaign, and split-screen online. I found that the online multi-player was a little bit more dull than modern warfare though

3. Modern Warfare 1-- all-around great game. The only reason I like MW2 better is because it has a lot more customization options, perks, and killstreaks.

4. WaW-- an all around great game

I don't know how all the haters say that all CoD games are the same. There are significant differences in all all of the CoD games of the last 5 years.

Black Ops or Call of Duty 4.

CoD2 is my favorite. Had tons of fun playing it.

:P...Dude, to be honest I've only had a hand full of nukes...my preferd playing style(aggressive) won't allow me to become a nuke king as most are. So when I get one(rarely) I relish it because they are few are far in between for me.

But I don't see why being rewarded for consecutive kills is a bad thing because no matter how good you are(campers included) you die often in a COD match.

CoD for the pc is easily the best imo so balanced and innovative for its time, then CoD2 followed by CoD4 all of the other ones pretty much suck if you want a balanced/competitve game

1. CoD 4 - By far the best in the series. Everything about this game was amazing. Story, gameplay, online... It was all amazing. Unfortunately, Cod 4 was also the title that started the beginning of the end for the CoD series. Hopefully, MW3 can turn things around, but my money is on BF3 for shooter of the year.

2. CoD 2 - I love this game and actually just finished going back through it to not only replay the story, but to 100% the cheeves as well. CoD 2 was my first 360 game and IMO CoD 2 definitely contributed to the initial success and launch of the 360 as a console. It was the first great 360 title, again IMO.

United Offensive. Those maps are soooo good. I remember back when Call of Duty was simply a fantastic shooter. Now it has a bunch of unbalanced guns and marijuana references and hacks galore.

My friends and I played CoD2 every Friday night for like 2 years. We switched to CoD4 when that came out. Both games mean a lot to me.

cod 4 easily the best in series that and halo 3 kept me occupied all through 08 and 09s summers

Cod 4 and Cod 2.
I played both when I was younger and they were so awesome. They mean a lot to me and i get really nostalgic playing them. Also, there's just something about them that I don't think they'll ever be able to recreate.

Story campaign wise it would be Call of Duty 2 or Call of Duty and if you are talking about multiplayer I would saw Black Ops or Call of Duty

Call of Duty 2 was my favourite (on pc btw), followed by:

Call of Duty 1
Modern Wafare 2
Black Ops
World at War
Call of Duty 3 (worst one, definitly)
