my cousin waited 3 weeks from the day it was in the factory til he got it back.. my vary though
On my second, though my first one broke less then 3 days after I bought it. Been almost a year now and no problems. The lady at wal-mart said that pretty much all of the previous batch was returned..
I'm on my 2nd. I got mine in late december, it was giving me a few problems and I had a free prp so I returned it. Turns out those problems were standard -_-. Oh well, I'll trade in this one in about 10 months and get a fresh one again.
im on my third right now but this one is screwed up also, every time i try to open the disk tray up it closes after about 3 seconds. so every time i switch games i have to open it, take the disk out quickly, let it close, open it again, and put a disk in quickly before it closes. the funny thing is that when i called ms support they told me to try using my 360 without the harddrive and see if that fixes the problem. as you can guess that did nothing to help. only reason i havent sent my 360 in for repair is that i am waiting for the halo beta and would rather wait till its over and then send it in for repair.
second, never plug in during a lightning storm bad idea, very funny smell :) at first microsoft charged me something rediculous. then for some odd reason (hey i aint complaining) sent me a check back for all i had paid for it to be replaced.... didnt even ask
For the trouble with the xbox's they gave me 2 systems! I had no clue why but I don't know what to do with the other one because the other one has no hard drive
I'm still on my first, have had it for nearly five months, though I'm thinking it's the beginning of the end for me, as it is starting to freeze. It just did so while hosting a full room in Gears, right when Escalation loaded :-(
I've been through three, 2 which broke in like a few month apart, then after the the third i returned it and eventually got a ps3. I don't know if its just me but I've had some bad luck with my 360s and so far my ps3 is doing great!
I am actually on my fifth. Even considering that though I love my 360. It helps that all the previous times I had to get it fixed or replaced Microsoft was extremelt fast and helpful. Usually never took more then a week. First one probably lasted the longest. Got at Zero Hour. Next 3 were pretty quick (bad batch). This last has been fine... sometimes the disk drive sticks but nothing to really worry about. I enjoy the games and service I have recieved so much that it really doesn't bother me.
Got my first one on launch day, and broke on the day the ps3 came out, after downloading an update. My second one is working fine, although my dad bought an elite and after the spring update he go the 3 red lights and just rebooted it and it works fine. I think all the new ones bought this year or late last year are fine.
my buddy has gone threw 6 replacments, 4 new hard drives, his bro has gone threw 3 systems and 2 harddrives. if only microsoft would fix the problems rather then just give out new systems. meh maybe one day?
