I disagree, I love Perfect Dark Zero and Conker Live and Reloaded. I'm also looking forward to the new Banjo Kazooie game. But secretly, deep down inside, I am hoping for Killer Instinct 3. As well as Killer Instinct 1 and 2 on XBLA. All with online play.
just caught some news online that some big cheese in the industry (I think he was from Microsoft) said that the games industry had left RARE behind and that Microsoft's aquisition of the company was perhaps not that great a thing in hindsight. Sorry for the vagueness but I was supposed to be working while I was reading it and forgot where I saw the article. maybe others have read the same thing?

Seriously though, RARE was the jewel of the British games industry and used to lead the pack. What's going on with it!

They were making another one but it was cancelled. Accroding to scribes(look that website up), today's gamers don't like a lot of color in they're games, they want gritty and realism and also the game might be TOO HARD for today's gamers who can't put up with it's harsh difficulty, I say screw that.
Yeah, even MS have said that buying Rare just wasn't worth it in the end. Especially now that basically everyone (WHY STAMPER BROTHERS?) has left the original team and they're producing just good games. not amazing like before.

But what I read from your posts were: Rare is the suxxors now cuz MS bought them. If that's what you think, you shoulda just said so and saved me from reading your post.
PDZ was a very popular release game that kicked ass and i believe would have helped to sell the console, and rare is continuing with the banjo-kazooie series i loved dearly during the n64 days. has Rare passed on the 360? yes

The critics loved PDZ more than the fans of the original man, the fans got it because the N64 PD was awesome, and most were disappointed in it.
It seems that Rare only made stellar games while under Nintendo's close supervision. The only exceptions would be Viva Pinata and Trouble in Paradise, which I very much enjoy. And it is a great shame that the developers of Banjo Kazooie had to do something "different." Mario Galaxy followed the established formula and still holds the highest ratings of any platformer this gen. With some effort, Banjo Kazooie could have had fresh game-play through new abilities and clever level designs. The whole vehichle design idea is way off base with this series.
