I didn't like Halo nor Gears cause I got bored just playing only online with the most annoying d-bags ever! Ironically I find more annoying people in online shooters than other online genres.

yah i know lol...online shooters are a breeding ground for 12-14 year old brats who think they know evrything about gaming when in reality they're mommies and daddies just bought them an xbox for christmas LMAO.:P, this is what I find annoying for online shooters.

its my opinion, that i see them as overrated. my reasons ? because they have both provided me with a terrible gaming experience, they are both the most monotonous repetitive games i have ever played. and i dont see how people can enjoy them so much.
halo 3 by far. story was too easy andmultiplayer was full of hackers. a really let down if you ask me

Really, full of hackers? What kind of hacking do you encounter in Halo 3? As far as I know there is barely any hackers in Halo 3 because Bungie is strict with the banhammer. Please enlighten me or stop posting false info.
It could have been great, it had alot of new additions that I enjoyed. But it's like Epic didn't even try fixing all of the bugs the first one had. Ontop of all of that, that last boss was just a waste of 20 seconds... me and my buddy literally beat it in 20 seconds... .... ...
Ontop of all of that the online is realllllly laggy and that's what I was looking forward to the most. In my opinion Gears 1 was for sure the better game.
Pretty much the entire Guitar Hero/Rock Band series, yeah it's fun. Definatly not as amazing as people think it is and does not warrant the amount of sequels and attention it gets.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Mass Effect. That was one of the most disappointing games I've played in a long time, especially after seeing all the praise for it.

That's actually my favorite game and felt it should have gotten better scores. I give it 9.5/10
I truly think that it is yes the great Halo 3 because it was so talked about like it being the best game ever, but it wasn't by any means the storyline sucked and the characters get old and killing the same kind of enemy over and over again gets boring to me, the only great thing about this game was its multiplayer that is one thing I will never take away from Halo 3 it is my second favorite online game, and first is of course GOW2,but seriously the first Halo was the only one that was a amazing game and the rest just kinda sucked sorry to you Halo fans.
Halo 2 & 3. I don't get it. Halo 1 was a GREAT game. Halo 2 & 3 simply felt like overpriced expansion packs with updated graphics. The story was lacking and both games were so short it felt like we were robbed.
I'd also like to add Rock Band and Guitar Hero to this list. GTA4 was good, but it was no where near a 10 and I found Saints Row 2 much more enjoyable. Halo, while fun, is only really fun with friends. Otherwise it's just another average FPS. Gears is the same way - it's just another generic TPS.

Halo 3 and Fable 2. I just didn't find Halo 3 as entertaining as Halo 2, I don't know why I just got tired of the multiplayer really quickly and the online community was dreadful. As for Fable 2, I found the combat uninteresting and it is WAY too short.
Most overrated game.....Well for me I would have to say Gears of War 2. I always found that game so clunky. It just felt like I was trying to control this...brick, almost. It just felt awkward to me, trying to sprint around and turn fluently. Marcus better drop off some body armor or get a little leaner. Could just be me though.
