Names will never make a band. If youre that closeminded, then theres alot of bands you would call emo that would never classify as emo. Hollywood Undead is a prime example of this logic. And Im getting worked out? No, I just think people should actually know what theyre talking about when they try to sound like a smartass.Morning_Revivalif life is so fair.... then why do roses have thorns. *emo tear*
[QUOTE="xsfseal"]On pc version my k/d is like 2.6GHNiteFlyer

[QUOTE="JonesWs"]well i haven't played cod 4 or waw on the 360 but i do own a 360. I play the cod's on the ps3 my cod4 kd ratio is a 2.34 my waw kd is 2.17 Magnum7mm i f any of you guys own a ps3 send my friends request to view my stats, there's no reason to lie about it but if you don't beleive me. I do see alot higher than mine but are they cheating is the question.

Cheating in WAW is getting to be a serious problem. One kid was in a gamespot forum gloating about how many kills he got by being underneath the map. How do they not have a patch for this yet?
Well i do know they patched the ps3 version not sure about 360. I don't see why they didn't patch the 360 version yet they might already. That is pretty bad. I play CoD 4. I let have a 1.90 K/D ratio and I let my little 7 year old brother as well as my cousin (who never played a console shooter) play on my account.
I would say a 1.00 is average and a 1.50+ is good. Less than 1.00 means you put yourself in bad situations and die far too often.
0.90 is average for most people on call of duty waw atleast when i check. My ratio on cod waw is 2.28 and on cod4 it is 2.40.
CoD4 on PS3 i have a KD ratio of around 2.3, CoD 5 on 360 its about 2.7. I only bought CoD 5 on the 360 because my mates said people were better, but either im just a lot better at 5 than 4, or people on PS3 are better. For people who dont believe me:

Its at 2.66 at the moment, because i spent the last few hours i played the game messing around with the flamethrower, which is awful! Havent played the game for months, not very fun when there is no challenge.
In answer to your question, i think your K/D ratio is good... for the players that have 1 or more and are playing in the same map as you.
Now, seriously, you should keep playing and try to upgrade your skills if you ratio is important to you. Play, play, and eventually, you´ll become better.
On COD 4, mine is 1.26 but went down to 1.23 in the last couple of weeks. I dunno how tho, cos I'm a pure run n gunner - I dont camp or play tactically, I expected to be low 90s but to see over 1.20 was a suprise. My highest was 1.33 but that was 4 or 5 months ago.
in any game, i consider anything under 1.00 badjrabbit99Same. My Halo is under 1 I think. CoD I got it over one after 2 weeks. Gears is like 1.5 avg.
Edit: My Halo is over now. Guess I'm not too bad at Halo.
K/D doesnt mean **** , my k/d is 1.20, 68k kills and i have dones things in this game most people can only dream about lol. i was not bad or meh...i just didnt use cheap tactics to boost my kills.
NasRex
yeh i have around 70K kills and 1.32 K/D. i think any thing above 1.2 is damn good. and in no way am i an average player. i just about every map get about double my deaths. no way is that only average.2.0- good

Kills divided by Deaths. If your ratio is less than 1, that means you are being killed more than the number kills you are racking up. IMO, that's bad. If your ratio is greater than 1, then you are killing more than dying. That's good. The higher the number, the better player you should be.How do you calculate your k/d
Teddy201
It depends on the gamemode too i would guess. I got alot of friends that play Headquarters because "You get so many kills". They don't seem to understand that getting 45 kills means nothing if you die 60 times. I don't know how many times i see a guy talking crap in the lobby because he lead the room with 25 kills even though he had 23 deaths. That's the same as going 2-0. When is that good? I'd much rather go 15-4 than 25-23. I still can't figure out some peoples logic in these games. My 8 year old has a 0.40 k/d ratio btw. :D
I'd consider anything under a 1 to not be too great. Anything under a .5 is definitely bad. Mines not that amazing though, only a 2.2 for CoD4.
i am at .83 with roughly 6000 kills to 6800 deaths. however i played for a long time and have since got better with recently in matches being 2:1 or 3:1 more like but that doesn't show and it takes a lot of time to get the +800 from where i am at. i have improved it from .7 but its not an accurate representation of your skills right now. so really it you can say that anyone below a 1 is bad or an easy target that's just being ignorant
thats not bad. but its not good either. seems about average. but ive seen this guys with a 7+ k/d. i dont know how thats even remotely possible. and he had 10,000+ kills. he's so good. my k/d is .84. but my one friend plays on it alot. and hes bad. he once went 2-25 trying his hardest. haha, so funny. and i was really bad when i started. im actually quite good know when playing anythign hardcore. i almost always go at least plus 5.
Experienced players like to make new accounts just to have a good score w/e. It's lame.thats not bad. but its not good either. seems about average. but ive seen this guys with a 7+ k/d. i dont know how thats even remotely possible. and he had 10,000+ kills. he's so good. my k/d is .84. but my one friend plays on it alot. and hes bad. he once went 2-25 trying his hardest. haha, so funny. and i was really bad when i started. im actually quite good know when playing anythign hardcore. i almost always go at least plus 5.

Mine is 1.71. Got to 1.73 just a few weeks ago but had some bad games. My problem is that I have SO many kills--I rank around 15,600 out of some 7 million gamertags, so that means that getting enough kills to change my ratio is hard.
I've learned my lesson though. When I first started playing COD4 online, I worked only to try and get to level 55 10th prestige as fast as possible and I didn't care about my k/d ratio. When MW2 comes out, I won't even try to do that--I will only concentrate on k/d ratio.
and that will achieve something different than reaching 10th prestige?Mine is 1.71. Got to 1.73 just a few weeks ago but had some bad games. [QUOTE="catrocr"]and that will achieve something different than reaching 10th prestige? Just a personal goal. You have those too, right? Personal goals?Mine is 1.71.
