We all have been there before. Playing that special game for the first time can leave a long lasting impression that cannot ever be replaced. My question is this. If you could experience a game all over for the very first time, what game would that be and why? Does not have to be restricted to xbox 360. PC games, original xbox games, etc... all counts.

From reading alot of posts on here my answer wont be popular. I love Fallout 3 so much, I would love to re-live the excitment I had with that game.

Since it's not limited to just the 360, I have a few honorable mentions:

Metal Gear Solid (PS)

Final Fantasy 7 (PS)

Super Mario World (SNES)

Pokemone Red (GB)

Saints Row 3, Batman Arkham City, Oblivion, Guitar Hero 2, CoD Black Ops, Braid, Bioshock are some of the few off top of my head in recent years I highly enjoyed.

Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, Mario World, Metroid Prime, Sands of Time, Warrior Within, Bioshock, Resident Evil 4, SMB3, Arkham City, Donkey Kong Country; I would erase a lot of games and replay them.

Dune 2, Doom, Duke 3D, Warcraft, CnC Red Alert, Total Annihilation, Star Craft, Call of Duty (the first one on PC), Medal of Honor (first one on PC), Half Life, Age of Empires, Morrowind, Company of Heroes. Since then games haven't had quite the same impact. There are many fantastic games, but with the non stop sequels, day one dlc, online passes etc gaming has gone from a hobby to a "milk it till they stop buying it" way of thinking.. which leads to us having far lesser quality products that we would otherwise be getting. Out of the more recent games I would have to say Skyrim. I haven't been sucked into a game so much in a long time.

For me, I would say KOTOR. I'm not a huge star wars fan, but this game was incredible from story, art, music, characters, etc... If I could go back in time and play that again for the first time, I would play that. Second, it would be WoW when it first came out. First experience was so memorable

From the orginal Xbox gaming, the one that started it all for me was a game called advent rising. I feel like a lot of the games, including mass effect and other great series pulled from that game. Yeah advent rising seems to be one of those games..... For PC battlefield 1942, great multiplayer back in the day and half-life and Half life 2. Great PC series every to come.....maybe WoW before all the expansions.

Uncharted 2:Among Thieves, Bioshock, and Shadow of The Colossus are all games I wish I could experience for the first time again. So many excellent moments nestled underneath these three games that are not necessarily my top 3 games and in that order

Bioshock. Bioshock was truly the first game that's ever made my mouth drop wide open during the beginning, my mind was absolutely blown. It's still my favorite game of all time as of today, so obviously it still gets me, but man. When I first played it it was truly unbelievable. Can't wait for Bioshock Infinite.

Kinda seems redundant. Your just doing the same thing later. Being there first, or earlier seems better. You get to see the comunity and the game evolve and you get the perspective of how the game changed and how it effected it's future, why and how.

A game like Halo 3, for instance, just isn't half as enjoyable today as it was back in 2007. The population is lower so theres less variety in the player base, people are more likely to quit now and certain playlists are ghost town, the game doesn't receive any match making updates, ect.

The only games you really benefit from playing later than sooner are the purely single player ones and you still miss out on some of the confersation if you're into that since interest in the game is lower later on.

final fantasy 7 (ps)

that game was just something else it was one of the first rpg open world games i ever played and finished, there was so much going on a great story, and just the small details in the game made it feel great, i can't believe they've not redone this one, because for me this was the best final fantasy game

metal gear solid (ps)

this game for me was just topped everything at the time, stealth, shooting, story, it really did just blow everything out of the water for the genre.

theme park, theme hospital, dungeon keeper. rollercoaster tycoon (pc)

these games i can't get enough of. if only they carried on with them and made them alot more better, a real shame this genre just seemed to die out, randomly.

Splinter cell (xbox)

this blew me away i had been waiting years for a stealth game of this kind, and this was just great, since playing theif on the pc where sneaking was a must, i was dreaming of a day where a game of this nature would come and it did. remember playing the first level and shooting out the lights and sneak up on enemies, was great.

I would ahve to say Halo 3. It was the first Halo game that I played in the series. The campaign and multiplayer blew me away. I even went out and bought the novels and read them. I played through the campaign over and over. This was also my first co op game. I had a blast playing campaign and multiplayer with my friends. I would love to experience all the joy all over again!

Halo 2 and WoW. I used to play Halo 2 at a local video game store after high school with a bunch of friends through LAN. We would give the store owner a couple bucks and play for hours. It was a blast. Also, playing WoW for the first time was an amazing experience. I had been reading about it and everything you could do for months before getting a copy. I was not let down at all.

GTA Vice City: The whole 80s vibe just had me hooked from the get go. The sound track, the neon lights, it was pretty intense and wonderful for me.

Morrowind: I had never been immersed in a world quite like I had with this game. I was overwhelmed by it.

Hands down Assassin's Creed 2. I had avoided that game like the plague ever since I first read about the changes in mission structure and especially when i first saw the game in action. It was like they had taken this Badass Simulator and dumbed it down to being just another arcadey action game. I was crushed. When I found out Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood was going to have multiplayer(I was sure with a name like Brotherhood that it would be co op), I caved. By the time I was through the prologue, I was hooked. With all the threads connecting the Templars to modern day events, it gave me this wonderful 'what if' feeling about the whole fiction. And then when I reached the end, my heart skipped a beat. It was THE defining moment of this generation for me.

For me it would have to be Guild Wars when it first came out. No signs of elitist jerks, everyone was new to the game so the community was ridiculously helpful and kind. Playing it was one of the best video game experiences I had
