Only having a 20gb hard drive is lame. I can't even install any games since I only have about 3gb left on it, and I've erased a lot of unneeded stuff already. I might have to invest in a 120gb...

Fable 2. Best part about it, little noise from the 360. It's fantastic, no more will I get headaches from it.

i've installed gears 2, fable 2, Call of duty 4, fallout 3, GTAIV, and Left 4 Dead. and i do see a lil better in terms of load times, but i did those mostly so my 360 wont heat up as much or make such a racket.

Yep, I've got:

  • Oblivion
  • Mass Effect
  • Bio Shock
  • Virtua Tennis 3
  • Orange Box
  • Skate

All installed on my lovely 120GB HDD!

I already have the original Halo on there (downloaded it from Marketplace).

I've installed FIFA09... I haven't notice any improvements, but the 360 is so quiet now that I don't need any.

I want to install GTA4, but my HD is just 20gb, anyone think its worth ?

Play the games for a while through the HDD and then try to play them from the disc again. I bet then you notice a difference.

It's funny sometimes it seems like we don't miss/notice something until it's gone.

Well, because NHL only reads from the disc to load specifications for a match it isn't disc reading intensive.

As for Farcry...i've been playing the game for 28 hours now, just installed onto my HDD last night...no difference in loading at all...from what i noticed anyway...but then again i overlook a lot of what most people can pick out.

This seems very strange, while I haven't got the two games you mention, I have installed several to my Xbox (see above), and I've seen an improvement in loading times with all of them.

Well, you're lucky cause you have a 120gb hdd...ive only got 20gb so i only have enough room to load 1 game.

And most of those game you have installed are very disc intensive reading games...especially Oblivion, Mass Effect and Orange Box so im not surprised you see a difference. Both the game i installed don't require a lot of disc reading so thats probably why its less noticable...or not noticable at all.

either way im jealous...i wish i had 120gb hdd :(

I was lucky, I got an Elite. If I can afford it I just get the biggest space I can. My MP3 has enough space to hold 5000 songs - I think I've got about 300 on there!

Now, I feel so grateful that I did get the Elite, it's proved its worth - mind you, when I bought it the shops were doing a special and it wasn't that much more expensive than the 60GB.

I upgraded TO a 360 Elite almost specifically to take advantage of this new feature, and for a more complete set of cabling provided (which I will be using/taking advantage of in the near future). I've so far installed a few different games on it, including GTA4, Mass Effect, and Lost Odyssey. GTA4 was one I immediately saw improvement on. LO, not so much

Not until I get a new hard drive, and then I would probably install Fallout 3 and The Last Remnant when I manage to pick that up.
