CoD Modern warfare 2, NO CO-OP confirmed

I was just looking up details on the new CoD trailer and came across an interview, which states there will be no CO-OP story mode, but small CO-OP spin offs like zombies here the link.

In my opinion i think this is bullcrap, WHY don't they put co-op in, I was really hoping that they would include it. CoD5 did but you couldn't get half the achievements so that ruined it. I mean i'm not saying it's hard, because i've completed both (CoD 4 & 5) on veteran (Just saying to clarify) but i think there SHOULD be CO-OP...thats made my decision of not buying the game already.

To me, I'd rather have smaller campaigns that are focused on coop rather than a single player with coop just tacked on.

CO-OP is fun....but it doesnt make the game...IMO

I would have liked to see it in this game but it is no biggie that they left it out

there will be co-op but not in single player, there will be another mode called "special forces" mode that will be co-op and feature missions like the mile high club

If IW said it won't fit into the story then I trust them. I wasn't really planning on playing the campaign cooperatively anyways. COD4 had some missions where co-op might work but there were so many parts where co-op just couldn't fit into the campaign properly without screwing the story.

I'm not gonna lie, after reading that article, I'm even more excited for this game. How could you pass this up over CO-OP? It will still feature CO-OP just not on such a large scale. I'm really excited for this game.

Don't worry fellas, you'll probably have the opportunity to pay for it in the form of DLC on launch day :P

That's fine. CoD series never seemed like a Co-op type of game to me anyways. I haven't tried CoD WAW Co-op, cept the zombie thing, so it doesn't bother me.

Who cares ... SO ur gonna pass up on buying the NEXT GAME OF THE YEAR because it doesnt have co-op. ur a homo

After playing World at War, I can live without Co-Op.

Well when i looked at the title of this topic i thought there wasn't no co-op at all, but now i've heard that there's a co-op called ''special forces'' i'm not that worried. Just give me back my camo for the guns and i'm happy. And besides this COD isn't going to be a let down, because Infinity Ward is making it this time so chill.

Yet another reason to not buy the game.

Well, I hope this results in a thicker single player experience.

I'm perfectly fine with that. COD4 is superior is every way to COD:W@W and it doesn't have co-op. But I personally really really REALLY hate co-op. Any time I've ever played it it just been pure frustration. I hate having to give/take orders from people and then end up failing because some idiot on my team doesn't know what the hell he's doing. I prefer to play by myself all the time.

Never picked up CoD4, and it looks like I will pass on this one as well. Nothing about it sounds great/new, but maybe I should wait until we see some gameplay.limpbizkit818

Wow, you never played COD4? That should be a felony. That game is amazing and easily the best FPS this generation. I mean my dad and sister who never play video games liked it so much that they both played through the entire game twice. That's gotta mean something.

One thing I do hope is for customizable characters in MP. Like change the appearance of your gear and skin color, etc.

I saved a few hundred hours of my life by not picking up that game :P

They probably couldn't fit it on the disc. On WaW they couldn't fit gun camos on the game so they removed em RobboElRobbo
