Best game visually to date for the Xbox 360?

Mass Effect's visuals have impressed me the most. This games looks amazing. From the Citadel to the facial expressions on Commander Shepard, it simply looks stunning. I was amazed at how detailed Mass Effect really was.gr8scott

Yeah, Mass Effect is really a jaw dropping game. It kinda get away with looking amazing in a way that other games can't though. There are other games with in-engine cutscenes that look as good as Mass Effect. But ME... its an RPG. Alot of it is dialog and conversation. Because of that the game runs in "cutscene quality" for alot of the gameplay. But hey its an RPG so it can do that and i'm happy for it. I loved it.

The sequel really doesn't need any improvements as far as graphics go and it'd still be one of the best looking games released that year.

Looking at the earth from the moon in Mass effect was one of those moments in a game where I just stopped and said damn that's impressive. Mass effect has some seriously good looking levels. Bioshock also gets a nod for it's atmosphere, it pulls you in like few other games I've played. And the texture work on some of the levels of Gears is great.

Getting Dead Space tomorrow, that game looks hot as well.
