I have played 206 games, I'm taking off Halo Waypoint.

[QUOTE="Wrecked69"] It's just a complete waste of money. I'm sure many of those games you played for a week and then havent touched them since. People who are obsessed over Gamerscore and try to play more games than anyone else should probably rent games. But then again, if said people were smart in the first place, they wouldnt care about gamerscore or amount of games played.Wrecked69
your not "sure" of anything, and your assumptions are insulting, just because i have a very high gamerscore doesnt mean i play just for gamerscore.
and if people were truly smart they wouldn't judge someones intelligence on something so arbitrary.. thinking ur somehow smarter then ANYONE just because you play for different reasons just shows your ignorance
You're telling me you genuinely play that amount of games and enjoy all of them and have played all of them for a solid amount of time? Unless you're glued to your Xbox all day and all week I find that hard to believe. I dont think that gaming habits are arbitary, considering we are in a gaming forum. And honestly, people who play for bragging rights about their quantity of gamerscore (im not insinuating that you fall under this specific category) or games played need to check their priorities, its certainly something that should be recognized.
If im not getting something, its probably because you arent being clear, or you're being contradictory. You start a thread asking "hay guys I have 200 games played, how bout u", and you expect people to believe that you dont want to feel good about playing more games than other people? You're seriously interested in other people's game played quantity and nothing else? Gimme a break.
You havent said anything to prove my assumptions wrong, other than complain that I was rude in my previous post. I'll give you that one. Its pretty obvious that someone who leads a life of nonstop gaming/driven by gamerscore is less intelligent that some people. If they were intelligent, they would realize that nobody cares about numbers under their gamertag, and they should go get some fresh air or invest a little more time in something more productive of their future. Gaming in moderate fashion is definitely a fun hobby to have though.
Ill give you an example, would you say someone who eats nonstop junkfood and gorges themselves every day, deteriorating their health, that that is fine? it should be acceptable to behave in this manner? If that person was someone you cared about(and I personally care about the wellfare of others), you'd just say "Hey, its your life, do whatever you want". Thats being careless and irresponsible. What's ignorant is that you think its fine for gamers to make choices similar to that and allow them to choose gaming over other important aspects of their life. Again, since I wasnt super clear in my first post, Im making this as an argument in general and not just specifically targeted at you. There are plenty of gamers out there that have legitimate 100k+ gamerscore that play purely for the score.
Again, if you honestly have found a way to balance your apparent mass gaming with life and keep your priorities straight, then I apologize for my wrong assumptions and rudeness, and kudos to you. But you cant blame me, some of the things I point out are irrevocable.
Considering that I have even more Gamerscore than he does and would play games allowing me to get a score this high (as well as games on my PS3, Wii, PS2, DS, and GBA), while taking some classes for college, working, and having a girlfriend. I'd say he doesn't need to miss out on that much.
It's just a complete waste of money.
I'm pretty sure people have spent money in much worse way. My parents bought a boat for over $10,000 we ended using it only a few times for a few hours each time, and payed extra for storage for the boat. I'd say playing games that you enjoy for however many hours-days each would be worth more than that.
