EA CEO admits Battlefield 4 was always running on a PC at e3

Console gamers be stupid.

I mean seriously, there is NO concrete hardware available to anyone yet. There are no Xbox Ones and PS4's for everyone to run games on at a press event, but consolites swear up and down that everythign is runnign on their rpecious, already outdated out fo the stinking gate, wannabe 3 year old PC hardware.. As comfirmed by the CEO.

Just about everything you saw, except for some canned/stream footage in a few instances (and even that was probably ona development PC), and certianly everythign runnign live at the booths was runnign ON A MID RANGE PC.

Knew it... no way X1 could've pulled off those visuals while maintaining a stable frame rate!

Were all on dev kits, Geoff, as you know. I mean theres no final hardware yet and theres not going to be for a long time, but the spec of what we were playing on is next-gen spec.

That's ambiguous, and can mean a lot of stuff when said on a major corporate event like the E3...

Basically just assume every multiplatform game is running on a PC.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if some of the exclusives are too just judging by past game reveals, and what the final products actually looked like (much worse).

Yup, i remember when that was pointed out in the chatroom. some people were pretty mad.

It's a bit naive to think it wasn't on PC. I mean DICE make for PC first, they're a PC centric dev and they want their games to look as good and smooth as possible. PS4 version will look great too no doubt, but PC will give it that slight bit more on powerful hardware

If I was going to guess one mutliplatform game that was going to be run on PC at e3, it would have been Battlefield 4. This was a no brainer.

Not surprise, DICE has always been a more PC central developer.

They've been demoing it with some really powerful PCs too. We'll see how that translates into console performance.

That was really a no brainer, like Xbone could handle those graphics, PS4, sure, but Xbone? Come on, don't be silly.

It's more than just battlefiedl 4. If EA, a major publisher didnt' have console hardware to showcase anything... Would Ubisoft? Would Activision? Heck, even first party devs were, I'm sure, showcasign everythign on mid-range PC's.

Which is the exact opposite consolites on these forums were saying and shoots to thell what some of the more idiotic ones were saying: That these games looked better ona  PS4 that they would on a PC. The Division was probably one fo the msot visually imrpessing titles. 

It's almost certianly running on a PC.

Sony said the PS4 gamepad is compatible with PC's right out fo the gate.

Wasn't it obvious? All the command prompts they showed had keyboard letters and they showed footage of people literally playing it on the PC on stage. 

Great! Gonna have a blast with this game on PC.
