Signs of New Xbox Incoming?

So I walked in to Walmart, Target, and Gamestop today and prices for Xbox 360 accessories has been dropped 10% to 25% from their original MSRP. Amazon also has some price drops too.

Apparently, the manager at Gamestop (I use to work there btw), told me that Microsoft has sent letters to all major retailers telling them that the MSRP will drop DUE to them wanting to get rid and/or lower down the amount of accessories in supply.

So what does that mean? Well it might mean that Next Xbox will not use Xbox 360 accessories as many of us had hoped. For example, there wasn't an MSRP drop on Wiimotes because they are very much used on the Wii U.

Some logic would say that they are trying to rid of old Xbox stuff because they are going to introduce a new set of equipment for the next console.

You're stretching/turning something into nothing! That stuff happens all the time and doesn't mean anything. 

People keep making these threads based off of rumors and speculation and nothing concrete. It's rediculous when you start to see sales 10-25% off accessories going on at a game store and equate it to a new system releasing. It's like hearing of a Tsunami or earthquake and equating it to the End of The World is near.

thank god Bluetooth is backward compatible.  

They have a countdown to E3, so it's pretty obvious it's coming. There's no way they'll let Sony hog the spotlight.

Ya that would never happen, Sony releasing before MS. Sorry for not knowing that PS4 and the 3rd Xbox were confirmed by each company and the release dates were announced. I must be the dumbest person here.

Somehow I doubt that MS has dropped, or plans to drop prices to clear out inventory. After the new console is released sure...but it's not like the consoles sitting in the store now will still be there when the Nextbox comes out.

This is MS we talkin about, im sure if they could make it work they'd charge for using it.
