You know, those games where you sneak around? They're so cool! :D

My vote goes to Splinter Cell, although Metal Gear and Syphon Filter come very close. They all have awesome stories, but Splinter Cell is the best in terms of gameplay IMO. :)

Assasin's Creed is not included because it did not have any games on legacy platforms.

I can't decide between Hitman and Splinter Cell, they're both great stealth action games that almost always require you to use stealth. I'll vote for Hitman though, since I just love having to think in how to do the mission. MGS is great but you can easily just gangster bang yourself through the whole thing. Shinobido is quite cool too.

Metal Gear Solid is my fave, but Hitman, Syphon Filter, and Splinter Cell are all great. MGS is best, though.

I'll go with Metal Gear because the gameplay, music and the not-so-serious tone. I really like Splinter Cell a lot for its realistic experience, though. I've never played a Hitman game before, and the last Syphon Filter I've played was Logan's Shadow on the PSP.

Tenchu is probably my favorite series. The weapons, options, and that oh-so awesome grappling hook with the smooth controls makes for a helluva experience. The deaths are usually pretty cool. And how awesome are ninjas?!

The Oddworld series is also pretty awesome. Quite unique in the gameworld. The series has a lot of character and charm, as well.

And of course Metal Gear Solid was good. But what can I say about this series that won't be said 100 times in this thread alone?

I have only played the first installment of both Splinter Cell and Syphon Filter and they were both great, but I didn't allow myself to have a dull playthrough of them at the time so they really don't have my vote. I have played all the Hitman games and they were great (first one was good, but underrated and the new one coming out seems a bit too modernized, but could be fun) and the Metal Gear franchise I find amazing honestly. MGS 1-4 are one of my favorite games and they gave me quite an experience and since the game can be versatile when you play it in different ways I give my absolute vote to Metal Gear easily.
