No particular order, but the ones I prefer the most are obviously on highter places.
Haseo (.hack//Roots, .hack//.G.U. Games, .hack//Link):
He goes from a lifeless, bored and depressing guy, to an annoying pissy, rude brat, to a nice and trustworthy friend along .hack//Roots anime the 3 G.U. Volumes, seeing his growth is just amazing. His character design is awesome (and each job extension gets more and more badass) and his english voice actor is great.
Dhoulmagus (Dragon Quest VIII):
My favourite Jester character in any game/show, I love his eloquent way of talking, and love his character design, and how merciless he is against his foes. Also his transformation is dope.
Zoey Castillo (Dreamfall: The Longest Journey):
I just fell in love with her when playing Dreamfall, beautiful character, beautiful accent, cool personality AND she was the power to go between worlds. Awessuummm.
Cryptosporidium 138 (Destroy All Humans! 2):
Blurting bad jokes every 5 seconds in this game just works out so fine to me, and this character is the one that does it the most, damn I love this character, great voice choice too.
Lara Croft (Tomb Raider Games):
Chicks with dual pistols (in any way)
Daxter (Jak & Daxter Series):
Funny as hell character, great character design. And there're so many awesome quotes you can take from him :P One of my favourites is "It ain't no petting zoo out there! Peeps be gettin' deep six'd!"
Crow (The Longest Journey, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey):
No, this isn't a human with Crow as a name or anything, he is actually...a Crow, and a TALKING crow, and a FUNNY as f*ck talking crow, definetly my favourite side kick of all time.
Yosuke Hanamura (SMT: Persona 4):
He is the "Junpei from Persona 3" in Persona 4, a very funny and clumsy teen that is the first to join you and is your right man. But...Yosuke ISN'T as annoying as Junpei. Badass Persona too.
Ovan (.hack//Roots, .hack//G.U. Games, .hack//Link):
A mysterious and generally quite leader, I love how he never lies, yet never gives a straight answer, leaving the answer to others judgement, badass character design and vocie actor too.
Marcello (Dragon Quest VIII):
The Templar Captain who stays in charge after *something* happens, he has a cool character design, and a strong personality, especially badass because he resisted the Sceptres Curse.
Sly Cooper (Sly Cooper Series):
A cunning thieve with cool character design and a cool laid back personality.
Big Smoke (GTA: San Andreas):
This man is just weird, he eats during Drive-By's, he says weird stuff like "We are both blessed...AND cursed", just a overall funny character.
Azure Kite (.hack//Roots, .hack//G.U.):
Imagine Kite but AWESOME. He's silent, and strong as hell, and has a creepy but awesome "patchwork" look to him. He is the antagonist in most of the G.U. storyline, and is the one being hunter down by Haseo.
Jak (Jak & Daxter Series):
I only started actually liking him in Jak II, when he gets a voice, I love how pissed off he seems in Jak II, but then he becomes an even better character in Jak 3 for being a more laid back character.
Sonic (Sonic):
It's Sonic.
Wander (Shadow of the Colossus):
A tiny dude that kills GIANTS, what's not to like? And even more that he doesn't seem like an overpowered tiny dude that kills GIANTS (looking at you Kratos), you see his struggle when battling the Colossi, and during the game you see him getting more and more beaten up, especially at the end. One persistent man, going through 16 Colossi to save Mono.
Zegram (Rogue Galaxy):
He's like "Vegeta", he seems to not like Goku (who in this case is Jaster) but deep down inside he does, he has a cool "lone-wolf" feel to him, and great character design. Voice actor reminds me of Snake. Also, the boss battles with him (Jaster vs Zegram and Zegram vs Seed) are some of the best.
Hyakkimaru (Blood Will Tell):
He's mostly made of fake body parts, since 47 body parts were stolen from him by demons when he was a baby, he was saved by a doctor who replaced his lost body parts with fake ones, with WEAPONS INSIDE. Hyakkimaru's mission is to find all 47 demons who stole his body parts and get them back. He is also a very kind person, and seems to alwys have the need to aid people.
Agent 47 (Hitman Series):
A very calm assassin, always cool.
Kratos (God of War Series):
Although I do like the God of War games, I don't really like Kratos as a character, I'm just putting him in since I can't remember anymore. He has superhuman strength for no apparent reason (in the first he wasn't a God yet), and defeats huge monsters just as easy as the normal ones. And the end of God of War 3 is very dissapointing, but I won't give any spoilers.
