New Neo-Geo Handheld to be released! WAIT WHAT?

This just in folks, a new Neo-Geo portable was announced. I'm not ****ing you! As of now no date, price, or further detials have been announced other than the system will have a built in 2GB Flash storage and be pre-loaded with twenty Neo-Geo games, including King of Fighters and Metal Slug.

I am very interested in this device, if it can launch at under $150, and be a full fledged handheld I think I will definately pick it up on day one.

I miss my Neo Geo Pocket. I'd love to have some of their great arcade games on a portable like that because those pics are pretty sexy.

It's definitely interesting but is not like KOF games or Metal Slug games are hard to get, they are in practically every console now, i honestly do not see the interest in having a KOF game on the run unless it has a terrific online netcode (which i doubt since not even KOF XIII has one).

Might consider it if it is really cheap and i can choose what games to get.

Yep. Pretty much need a marketing campaign for things like this to succeed. And I don't think SNK titles.. (forgive me if I'm mistaken in this regard) such as Metal Slug and KOF are as well known and recognizable and or desirable as other handheld titles such as Mario, Zelda, Uncharted etc.

I mean, I'm completely ignorant in regards to SNK's library of titles, but I'm almost positive that the general populous lacks knowledge and or interest in games such as these. Diehard SNK fans will undoubtedly pick it up, however.

Ha, ha, oh wow, I remember Neo Geo, glad to see it back in handheld form.

I prefer the form factor of it over both the 3DS and Vita. This is the route that should have been taken, imo. A TRUE portable.

the neogeo games you can get off the PS store dont work on PSP then?

hopefully there will be a way to play blazing star, pulstar, and twinkle star sprites. I'd be all over it if I can turn it into a neogeo shmup machine.

Seems kind of pointless considering they can easily sell there games on Vita and 3DS. But whatever, legendery cult system deserves legendery cult handheld :)

This looks like a chinese emulator-centric console, like the dingoo or the Wiz (although the Wiz is Korean). If it runs Neo-Geo roms flawlessly, then it's a must buy for 2D fighters fans.

Interesting, I had a Neo-Geo back in the day and loved it. Hopefully they can show some games on it.
