Graphic of Uncharted 3 is rough

AA and behavior look bad.

I've already expressed my concerns on this "cheap MLAA" method used by Naughty Dog. It's just not working well.

Since ND can't afford to use the higher quality MLAA used in God of War 3, Little Big Planet 2,& Killzone 3... FXAA3 is the best choice.

It's working well with Gears 3. A game originally programmed with no AA in mind.

Those screens look a step back from UC2 but they are most likely cherry picked (no offence), or maybe it looks ok in motion :?.

I dunno, since you got this off a video I think those may be video compression artifacts.. I wonder what the frame rate of the video (not the game) sometimes that can also cause some problems.. can't be sure though, that looks worse than UC2 and i'm sure ND has no reason to do something stupid like that..

There is AA in the pics. Look carefully. It's just broken.

I'll admit though, the AA method for UC3 is rather bad. Even worse than Killzone 3's AA.

No they aren't edited. The AA is broken. (The picture compression is from youtube) My pic is from the highest quality direct feed. (Over 300MB)

The AA was also broken in the beta. Especially on the Airstrip map.

Me or that other guy? I only posted one pic. That AA solution worked decently on that Chateau map.

Consider me unworried. Going back to the original Crash Bandicoot (which actually still holds up well to this day) ND has a consistent record of amazing presentation INCLUDING the visuals. Several of those screens just look like they're picking up a ton of motion blur.

have any of you downloaded an hd version of U3 footage.. someone here posted the link and i dl it. the video has nothing to do with these screenshots at all. is TC serious??? this is u3 it cannot be worse than u2 and these scresshots make it seem way worse than u2. and what is the thing with graphics anyway? i ll take a game with fewrer polygons and more substance anyday.

I really don't think that those are legit pics. UC2 looked better than that, there's no way UC3 is that much of a step backwards.

Making it 3D compatible has taken a hit to the graphic's, thats why Killzone 2 looks better than Killzone 3

I don't like Uncharted much, i feel it's over rated and it annoys me how this board never shuts up about it.

However i played the beta and it looked way better than the shots in the OP.

Some people need to go back and play a PS2, in fact quite a lot of people of this site need to go back and play those older consoles because some of the comparisons i've seen on this thread and board are stupidly ridicoulolus, PS2 graphics really i know nostalgia can mess up thing sometimes but come on really PS2 graphics that's either straight trolling or those people never played a PS2 game.

Is this a joke thread? Those screen caps are a joke. You make it look like a PS2 game.

Anyone who has seen HD direct feed from all the demos know the visuals are exceptional.

Even the multiplayer graphics are incredible.

If you took those screengrabs straight from the Gamescom video, that's not a good judge of UC3's visuals.

BUT

Even then, Uncharted has always been a series that looks better in motion and I don't think UC3 will be an exception.

I played the beta and it looked much better than that.
