In most games it should be pretty acceptable to maintain a 1:1 ratio. I mean damn, if you can't kill SOMEONE before you die, you better have just started playing.
does anyone else notice that the skill division on cod 4 is very wide? the lowest kdr i have ever seen in halo 3 is .79, and the highest ive seen is 1.5. in cod 4, ive seen people who were like .57 (and this is with more than 30,000 kills logged, which should mean they played enough of the game to, yknow, improve) and then ive seen people with like 2.5. its kind of like quake actually, my kdr in quake live is like .54 (yeah... i know... -_-) but my friend has a kdr of 3.21.
On PC mine's about .55 and I'm level 53. I've had my fair share of 10:30 games, and whenever I get 20+kills, the deaths are never far behind. I live with it, it's just a matter of adjusting your expectations.
Yes anything under 1 is bad. I'm about 1.25 in just about every shooter I've ever played consistently, except Bad Company but that's not about kills. 2 days ago I had my best ever match of CoD4. I usually suck with the shotgun but I set a new personal best streak of 21 on Chinatown with the W2000.
mine is 1.4 and thats pretty bad it might be because i dont really like WW2 guns in CoD4 it was higher and thats while letting people that suck play. also it depends because i kill a hell of a lot more whth people that are good i wish i had a clan my ratio would be a lot better.

Yeah same here lol. Went from 2.10 to like 2.06 something like that. I just suck now i'm too used to TF2. Whenever i get COD:Waw i'll get it when i'm bored of TF2 and don't wish to play it for a while.
Mine's always been around a 1.30, but it's not a consistent ratio. Some games I'll just be on and have a 3:1 or 4:1 kill ratio, and some games I'll be just god awful. I usually just mess around though throwing C4 all over the place or sniping in a corner because the game has kind of grown boring to me. I was never good at it, but decent enough to hold on my own.
I stopped playing about 6 months ago with over 250 hours of gameplay and 30,000 kills (doesn't seem much but I always played S&D) and I tihnk I have a K/D of 1.3 or something.
I'd say it's a little above average, since I see most people with 0.80. Of all the people on my friends list the highest below me is a 1.70 KDR. Mine is 2.25KDR, lower than my COD4 KDR. I don't care what KDR you have, if you're fun to play with and you don't glitch or tank whore then more power to you.

Mine is pretty close to 2.4 K/D ratio. Call of Duty is the only game I consider myself to be really good at (maybe Battlefeld: Bad Company too). However, I suck at Halo, Rainbow Six, and other FPS games.
I haven't played it for some time now, so I bet I'm a little rusty.

well i haven't played cod 4 or waw on the 360 but i do own a 360. I play the cod's on the ps3 my cod4 kd ratio is a 2.34 my waw kd is 2.17 Magnum7mm i f any of you guys own a ps3 send my friends request to view my stats, there's no reason to lie about it but if you don't beleive me. I do see alot higher than mine but are they cheating is the question.
I think it depends on what lvl u are. when most people are just starting it takes a while to figure out what weapons you should use on each map. you might be 1 level away from getting that perk or weapon that puts your k/d over 1:1. I am at 1:1.5 right now its not really good or bad but it has been climbing slowly now that I have a good knowledge of the maps, weapons and perks. It also depends on the gametype you play. In gears King of the Hill my Kill death is .6 because I always stay in the hill and even though I sometimes have the least amount of kills i always have the most pts.

i am not that good at the game and my K/D is 0.84, I am pretty pleased with that. I am trying to raise it to above 1.0. I would suggest that over 1.0 you are pretty good at the game, anything under that is fairly average. I compare myself with my friends list and there aren't that many over 1.0 so that makes me feel better, although there are a few that are over 2.0 which I assume means that they are really good at the game. :)

Cheating in WAW is getting to be a serious problem. One kid was in a gamespot forum gloating about how many kills he got by being underneath the map. How do they not have a patch for this yet?

My K:D is at 1.42 but it is gaining. when i started the game i was around a .3 ish then i got a new account played the for awhile and now that i am good i started back on my first account so its been a struggle to get back up to where i am it.....in the last two weeks i started using headphones so i can hear people walking around me and my k:d in the past three has been over 3:1 headphones are really nice for finding people on hardcore team i encourage them for people who have tv's with headphone outputs

Names will never make a band. If youre that closeminded, then theres alot of bands you would call emo that would never classify as emo. Hollywood Undead is a prime example of this logic.
