I like a lot but the best are.
1. Major's Mask
2. Windwaker
3.The Ocarina of Time.
I'll be probably one of the few that will say, in no order:
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

wow, in the history of my time with polls about which is the best zelda game, i have never seen a list that didnt have OoT in it :P
mine is a little more obvious than most: 1, Ocarina of Time 2, Twilight Princess 3, a tie between Oracle of Ages/Seasons.

i love that game, just never finished it :P
I have to say Twilight Princess though OoT is really great, it can't beat TP. One of the reasons I like TP so much is because of Midna. She is my favorite character of all time. Don't ask me what I like about her so much because I'm not sure what it is, but she is really great.
So here is a list:
1. Twilight Princess
2. OoT
3. MM
4. The first Zelda ever.
I have not played any others much.

Well, her true form is pretty hawt. Though greatest ever? Skepticle.
Actually I liked having a supporting character a lot too, it's probably one of the reasons I loved Majora's Mask as well, because Tatl actually has a personality unlike Navi.
You don't even have to think about it
1. TP (Midna was helpful and actually gave really good hints)
2. MM (Majora's Mask is awesome because everyone runs on a schelude. And, sure when you go back in time you lose all your items, but find them again! You have to be patient to like MM. I'll admit though that MM was pretty ddamn hard.)
3. OoT (Look, I'm not saying OoT is bad, but it doesn't compare to MM or TP. Navi was sooo annoying telling you the obvious! I always felt lost where to go. The water temple was a pain. The graphics were amazing, but graphics don't make the entire game!)
Top 5 that I've played:
1. Ocarina of Time
2. The Minish Cap
3. Phantom Hourglass
4. Oracle of Ages/Seasons
5. Link's Awakening
Am I really the only one who likes Minish Cap?
sc_ajk29
now that i think about it minish cap was really fun. it was definately one of my favorite handheld zeldas.
1. Ocarina of Time
2. (Extremely close behind) Majora's Mask
3. Oracle of Seasons
4. A Link to the Past
5. Wind Waker

Their are many other reasons why I like TP so much. I was just pointing one out...four top games are so close I can hardly separate them however I will place them in this order:
TP
MM
LA
OoT
I also really love Midna. It is somehow strange to have Link teamed up with someone who belongs to what you (at first) will count as the dark side. However you will find that there is not a good and a bad side, only some good and some bad people. It is not as black-and-white as some Zelda games tend to be.
[QUOTE="Shacrob"]MM it's the best Zelda game ever.the_sky_is_upThat's something you wont hear every day...
Think so? Many people love Majora's Mask. It's also my second favourite Zelda game.
I've posted this before, but I think it sums up my feelings on Majora's Mask well:
Majora's Mask involved a suspenseful feeling of the world, the moon constantly getting closer, which added weight to the progressively dismal townsfolks, on the third day the town is getting empty, While you try and stop the Skull Kid, only to fail again and again, constantly resetting time.
When you finally bring together the Four Giants, it's epic how they stop the moon from crushing the town right before your eyes. All the while, the many characters are not just stuck in stationary positions, but rather going about their day to day duties but becoming increasingly aware of the impending doom above them. Anju and Kafei's struggle with love exchanging their vows and then waiting for the world to end; The Swordmaster breaking down and showing his human side; the Romani sisters and Anju's Grandmother huddling in fear at Romani Ranch.
The game is full of life, the characters are not just scripted laughing all day and disappearing at night. You see the Deku Butler crying over the corpse of his son during the credits; you see Cremia grieving if you fail to stop the abduction of Romani.
It's The Empire Strikes Back of Zelda, it's deeper, more intelligent, and darker than any that came before, or since.
Out of the games I've played Twilight Princess for 3D Zeldas(the gameplay elements were almost perfectly refined... it occurred to me I should clarify that I played the GC version). And for "god view" Zeldas Minish Cap.MaceKhan
Lol:D me too (GC twilight) and I think PH is the best handheld Zelda

I haven't played PH yet because I don't have a DS:cry:.OoT... duh. I bought my N64 for it and it got me into gaming and what keeps my faith in gaming today.
