I followed some mexican recipe today where you "cook" white fish meat in the fridge by letting it sit covered by lime juice for hours. After taking 3 bites I googled if it was safe to really eat fish that hasn't been properly warmed. Turns out that it's fairly common with these weird larvas eggs in fish. Once they hatch in your belly, doctors have to remove them by going up your butt and remove them. I stopped eating. Now I got no food.

So long as it's prepared correctly and all, raw fish is usually safe to eat.
I've had plenty raw fish sushi and not had to have such a thing done to me. Granted, the sushi came from a reputable restaurant. :P

Wut....first time hearing this. Interesting. What's the name of the dish?
I had sushi for lunch with grilled chicken.

Yeah it's not like it happens to everybody, apparently it's also safe if the fish has been frozen for at least 3 days. In this case, I am talking about cod. Now that I read some more about it, it seems to be rather rare but hey, I was googling this while eating so I guess I kinda panic'd... :pÂ

As for the name... It didn't have any specific name but quick googling leads me to believe it belongs to the category of...
Ceviche: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceviche
Understandable, I've had moments like that myself. :P
And last thing I had was pasta bake with my bf, my flatmate and his bf that had sausage, bacon and red leicester cheese in it. And then after it, myself and the bf had ice cream and sex on the beach cocktails... and planning to have a few more cocktails. :P
