Banner of the Week : Updated 30th March 2007

I like it. It has a great dynamic to it and the animation is nice and fluid, if a tad fast.

On a side note, where did you get the FF Tactics font? Ive been looking for that for years, and I could never find it.

This banner, as some may already know, is created by myself :oops:. Please accomodate with my poor art skills, and i'll try to improve further next time :P

I added a motion blur to the chocobos background there, well, to depict the speeeeeeed of chocobos :P. The chocobos are taken from a screenshot from the Final Fantasy III trailer. As for the huge words [they're too big aren't they :?], is a cautious effort to pluck out the words from "Final Fantasy Tactics" [the original logo] to form the word "FANS" there.

This banner, doesn't really need an explanation does it? Everyone knows the Yuna from Final Fantasy X-2 :) With a creative 3D render at the back, and... nice fonts to go with..this is a striking banner. It won many votes, along with Tifa's banner, which used roughly the same concept.

Formerly our Chief Graphics Designer, maa4208 is a skilled artist who has taken part in various art events held in the FFFU throughout.

I really don't like this banner. Maa you use the same font and the same type of background every single time. I think you can do much better.

I haven't use C4D but uhh... why do some artists prefer C4D when it comes to rendering backgrounds instead of Maya. Was it because it's easier to use or is there some polygon explosion command that's the same that is found in AutoCAD :roll:ZhenDash

Currently our Chief Graphics Desginer, joeadonis1 never fails to amaze us with his superb art skills. The banner, currently on display, is an entry to the FFFU Banner Competition held some months ago. I don't think this banner needs some detailed explanation, right?

Nonetheless, from left to right, these are the following characters:
Tidus [FFX], Zidane [FFIX], Cloud [FFVII], Squall [FFVIII], Yuna [FFX-2]

You might wonder how come Yuna is the only girl that appears on the banner. I believe, she's not more special than any other female in any FF, but it's simply because she is the main character in FFX-2. In which, this is only my assumption, joeadonis1 made this banner, with the pretext of putting all the main characters in the recent FFs in one banner. I hope i'm right :|  And... nice fonts :P The words under the English "Final Fantasy Fans Union", hmm... I wonder what it's supposed to be.

Sorry, i do know a little japanese, and well...... if you wish to know what the words mean, you can PM me if you wish. :)

In conjunction with Halloween, and the release of Final Fantasy XII, maa made an amazing banner which creatively utilized the "eerie" concept seen on the Judges with Halloween. A wondrous effort on maa's part, and Happy Halloween everyone!

Another masterpiece by the union's Chief Graphics Designer. Joe says that the banner is made, to commemorate the release of Final Fantasy XII. The characters used in the banner, are Vaan

and Penelo

. The images are taken from a supposed sequel of Final Fantasy XII, titled Revenant Wings.

I guess, the reason joe actually used these two characters, is because of his personal preference for anime-like characters:P I'm not stalking him.... i just remembered him entering an image into the banner competition, and that banner was full of Chibi characters lol.

I like the effects around the two characters, i'm not good at art, i wonder what it is. Looks like a motion blur, and doesn't seem to be a motion blur... i like the effect by the way. Great background, great color combination, and great choice of font-type too.

maa4208 entered this banner for the union's Banner competition held some months ago. I don't think much explanation is needed? The girl in there, nobody else but Penelo from Final Fantasy XII. Great usage of colors and nice "crystal" background.
