I'd like to see them manage to keep all the slain enemies on-screen, instead of just vanishing just after death, even if they die off-screen, elswhere on the battle field. Realism plus cool to see where all the fighting has been. Probably not possible without slowing down the game, but still an interesting idea. Oh, and all that other stuff y'all said.JeffSteel
Well for me i want everycarecter ....
and higher lvl weapons lvl 7 would be nice :)
more items that do more things (like tiger collar)
more steeds
Online
and a guy with a scythe would make me happy :)
post your wish list
6thDjinn
just add more unique moves and that would probally be my wish list
but I think Yue Ying is pretty close to scythe but I don't like her that much :(

Well they should have it like the bodies stay...for a period of time then disapear that would be better
Here's a list:
1 ) Pre-battle planning and briefings (similar to Kessen 3's)
2 ) Better emplentation of archery (like an over-the-shoulder view, and aiming with the right trigger)
3 ) Camera control using Right control stick (I don't know if this was in DW5, but I know that it was in Kessen 3)
4 ) Online play (for consoles- I've heard of the online PC version)
5 ) More costumes, i.e. 8-10 per character (could use a little more variety, especially when it goes online)
6 ) New and improved create-a-character option, with more options for appearance and fighting style, and, rather than having random stats, being given a certain number of points to distribute however you want.
7 ) More customization for existing officers (i.e., you can control how the character's stats develop, and you can obtain different musous and fighting styles for them)
8 ) In certain battles, actually being able to lead a unit of soldiers (i.e. they follow you and you can issue orders to them)
9 ) Use the D-Pad to issue orders to soldiers and bodyguards (you could issue orders to your own unit, or, depending on your rank, any friendly soldiers and/or subordinate officers)
If I think of more, then I'll post them. Anyway, as you can see, my ideas are all about making DW more strategic, and giving it a little more personality and customization.
Ambitious goals, yes... but I can dream, can't I?

Those options would rock hard. The fact that you no longer command one guy (or girl), but a unit which you can issue orders at, would make it much more deep and interesting.

I agree with some of these.
I believe that before the stage you should give battle start commands (like, take that attack base, or defeat Xu Huang and stuff)
More costumes would definately kick ass
Create a Warrior! Thumbs way up!
Leading your own unit is a wish of mine since DW2
You have your own army (the one that on the pause screen under unit info, next to your pic it has the bar with the troop amount, that's your personal troops) and if you are the leader (Liu Bei, Cao Cao, etc) or strategist (Zhuge Liang, Zhou Yu) you can not only control your troops, but if you go up to your officers (Liu Bei to Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, etc.) then you push like start or some thing and in the start menu there should be an option (like unit info, battle log, interum save, etc.) that says the officer or officers' name(s) that you can give orders to, then click it and then you can them orders at a screen like the battle start commands That I described earlier!
Large cavalry squads. (And allow YOUR squad to use steeds as well).
Bring back the 8 body guards AND keep the officer type body guard. (maybe more than one).
Excluding Free Mode, keep it historically accurate, and get some better voice acting for some of the characters. (Ling Tong makes me laugh).
And I agree with the extras you all said, especially being able to take a character and customize his/her looks.
As for a person: introduce Guan Xing and Zhang Bao. (One of Guan Yu's sons and Zhange Feis son. They became brothers, fought with there fathers weapons, and became a very formidable team).
Oh I forgot to say, you should be able to cutomize levels before you go into battle. At the pre-stage screen, you should be able to add, delete, and change which characters fight as generals and sub-generals for you and your opponent!
Also, 2 player coop in vs, and musou modes and 2-player vs in free mode
Also, Koei can take out those challenge and vs modes so that they can put more into the vs and musou modes!
I agree with all of these, especially about cavalry. I wanna see a game that's more tactical, and as such if every army is just a big mob of infantry peppered with archers and officers, you can't really have much strategic leeway. The best thing to do is make more cavalry and up their AI so they focus on charging attacks to soften up infantry targets, rather than just slashing around, waiting for you to steal their horses. Also, I'm always kinda frustrated when my bodyguards, who I'm trying to level up, are half a map away because I can't equip them with horses. While they're at it, they should make horse attacks more powerful too. They're more or less useless as they are- even Ma Chao does more damage on foot than mounted.Large cavalry squads. To balance the improved cavalry, spears and pikes should be able to stop charging horses without attacking- they just put their weapon in front of them and the horse just won't run at them.
And the Guan Xing/ Zhang Bao idea sounds pretty good to me 8)
EDIT: Since horses will be eveywhere, I think you should be able to kill peons' horses (not officers') to dismount them and clear up the extra mounts.
eyetoy so you can put your face on your character

GENIUS!!
although Tony Hawk Underground probally stole your "thunder"
I like it to be strategy before the battle , and also all what you said .menwar
hacking people senselessly is fun in all but after a while it gets a little bored, and it needs more strategy
These are great ideas, but I'm starting to think that these need to wait for the next system.
The huge roaming idea sounds really cool. Lets say on horse back it would take a half hour to cross from one side to another? Anything done is fine by me. I'm gonna buy the next one.
So shall we all, I think.
Any-who, you would fight over the cities, which would exert a sphere of influence kind of like in DWEmpires. If a city is under attack, you would get a message saying so, so that you could respond in a timely fashion. Cities wouldn't be as easy to take as a checkpoint though, you would have to kill the huge garrison there first, then occupy the empty city center for a time before taking it. This is so you would'nt lose a city instantly after being informed it is in danger, and providing some challenge to the game.
I have an idea for a game that I've written up a few pages on, and Dynasty Warriors was one of the things I took into consideration when I came up with it- I'll start a new thread on it.
Look into it if you're interested :)
Just had another idea. If realism is what you want, then how about the option to turn BLOOD on. I'm not talking about some red specks, I mean BUCKETS of blood, of the highly pressurized, spurting variety (samurai movies come to mind). Talk about realism, the bloodiness of an ancient baattlefeild would shock the crap out of anybody from today. Just see the movie Braveheart, and you'll know what I mean.JeffSteel
HHHMMMMmmmm....................I thought about that but I like not having blood. If they did put blood into the equation, I would like to see it mild, AND have an option to turn it off. The game is fun without being gory. When my niece visits me we play two player. Believe it or not she said it was cool because it DIDNT have blood. If you want oceans of blood there are many other games to get. Personally I like it like it is. I just wish they would make it even better in the chaotic, huge battle feel.
water flying off of you when you attack. Like poetry in motion.
I wish they would bring back the battle flow replay thing that they would show after every battle. I liked that thing man.
I agree. Rain water flying as warriors strike each other would look GREAT. The next-gen systems should be able to support that kind of detail, too, which is great.water flying off of you when you attack. Like poetry in motion.

Also, I liked the battle replay of DW4 as well. Even if it didn't add to gameplay, it did give more of a sense of strategy.
the XBOX Dw5 will= theese exclusive features

2.Jappaneese voice overs with english Subtitles

Not really, man.Japaneese is pretty close to chineese
DW5freak
To illustrate this, here's a few Japanese names, right off the top of my head-
Asai Nagamasa
Uesugi Kenshin
Miyamoto Musashi
Here's some Chinese names, which you might know-
Luo Guanzhong
Li Mu Bai
Huangfu Song

Yeah, the main difference is how they speak. Chinese is very tonal, and Japanese is a little more straightforward.Chinese: Shaolin Chuan Fa
Japanese: Shorin Kempo
