So what I think we should do is give every user who posts here a little paragraph to say in the Union Directory. The user can say whatever he or she wants, just ot give a little shoutout to everyone here. We can have a vote, like once a week, to see who gets to make their saying next. It could be like a Union Hall of Fame 8)

Yeah, we don't want to run out of users to fast liek with the hotseat, and it should be special. We should do it once a month 8) Julian can start and then we vote from there!
I'm still a little unsure on how to pick someone though. I'm unsure whether it should be the officers and I decide on an outstanding recruit, or it be a vote (although with no poll to prevent cheating).

How about this, the Leader and Officers start out doing it (since they will be in first anyways), and then once you get voted in you get to be able to vote 8) We could do it through pm's.
That could work, although I don't think current officers should be able to be in this list, since they automatically get their own spot already (and afterwards a place for when they resign). Also, I like the idea that those in the list can vote if they want. Only problem I see possibly happening is not many people end up voting.

Well, that would be the biggest problem. But, if you have like 2 votes from all the people in the hall of fame already, you can always just amke a quick thread ;). Eitehr way, you should experiment with it :D
I'm wondering what the hall of famers would get, aside from getting to put their own small shout-out in the directory. If only there was a way to give certain member extra privaleges without making them officers. :x

Well, there is nothing really except for the recognition of being there and the ability to vote in the next Hall of Fame elections.

We could try inserting some kind of rank system, but it wouldn't mean much. :x Check this out: Link I do this down at my Union. It's just a thought, but I think it is very cool. Fastest came up with it if I'm correct 8)
I've seen systems like that before, although most times it takes lots of work to keep them up to date and then it doesn't really count for much. We could do something simpler, like hall of fame people get more recognition.

Yeah, it should just be really hard to get into the Hall of Fame. Like posting here a whole lot or helping out in some awesome way 8) It should be voted on monthly, and if you run out of people you shouldn't HAVE to vote someon in :D

We tried something like that once, and got no entries. :( We don't have enough designers in this union to have a contest like that.:( That's one thing we really need, since contests like that would really be helpful.
Lets see how it goes. I do think tho that a new topic would be a better for such a thing fastesttruck
The way I see it, is that with the new topic, more people would check on it, than if it constantly got updated. Perhaps we should try both to see which works better.

I'm still thinking on it, I like the idea, but I'd like to think of a way where the winners would get something else. Special sigs? Hmm, maybe. I'll go make some sigs with GIMP in a bit, so I'll have to slow down on posting and get my homework done ;)
If I knew how to make sigs, I'd make custom sigs and we could have more constant contests. I'd like to give custom sigs to hall of famers, but we don't have enough designers here.:(
