Both series are very, very good, but Zelda is better.

Anyways, Zelda is easily my answer. I enjoyed LttP alone more than Gears 1 and 2 (never tried the others). And before some fanboy gets their nuts in a twist, no I don't think the Gears games are bad at all.

Honestly? That actually sounds pretty appealing.

I'll go for Zelda if they include chainsaws.

Zelda. But... pseudo-intellectual? What is there that demands intelligence in Zelda? Why would anyone pose as an intelligent person becauseof this series?

Different genres can't compare them but in my opinion they both suck apart from OOT.

Zelda easily. At least it has,you know, creative gameplay. Gears of War has the color brown and that's about it.

If they focused on a Hylian War and Link's growth through the 'horrors' of war, it could be awesome. Add in the journey to get the Master Sword to vanquish Ganon's armies, as well as try making some dungeons in a battlefield with a large-scale battle going on, it could be sweet.

It's funny how people say that Zelda is a tired series when Gears had 3 games in one gen. SS was the only real Zelda on the wii (TP was a GC port). The worst offender has to be Assassin's Creed. I am so done with that series it is completely burned out.
