Isn't that kind of...odd?

I mean, speaking from a technical stand-point, Zelda: TP is the Wii's most impressive graphics.

Yes, a game that was ported from the Gamecube and was released almost a year ago has the best technical graphics.

Hopefully this will change when Super Smash Bros or Metroid Prime 3 come out.

Excite Truck looks amazing at 60fps. You should try it some time. TP is not that very good looking game for the Wii. Many made-for-Wii games look technically better.

I think you're missing the point. RE 4 was on the Gamecube, too.

My point is, why the hell have developers not taken full advantage of the Wii's hardware and made games that look better than Gamecube and Xbox games?

It seems like they are WAY too focused on the Wii-mote, even when they just tack the motion-sensing on to try and cash-in on some of the games.

It seems Nintendo, as a First Party developer, are the only ones that are able to take initiative with their console. This scares me, because if third party developers can't push the systems hardware, how will the console evolve from its current state?

Zelda's on the Gamecube as well, and it's been stated over and over that it's a gamecube game that was ported over with no graphical enhancement. So why does it count, but RE4 doesn't?

RE4 is the Wii's current best-looking game. Fact.

Sonic and the Secret Rings. The graphics in the book on Special Features are amazing.

Most games take 12-24 months to make. The Wii came out 8 months ago and was announced 12 months ago. The games that take nearly full advantage of the hardware should be coming out anytime... for example, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is coming out on August 27th... and the screenshots released recently make it out to be the best looking Wii title so far, and we have not even seen videos yet.

You cannot expect third parties who jumped ship off the Gamecube a long time ago to be able to jump back on and bring out quality games in less than a year, can you?

RE4 is available on Gamecube.

Do those titles look better than Burnout: Revenge, Ninja Gaiden: BLACK, Chronicles of Riddik: Escape from Butchers Bay, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory/Double Agent...?

No - RE4 looks better. that is sad considering its a GC/PS2 game.

however - when metroid comes out.. it will be the best looking Wii game to date.
