@walloftruth: I guess he was thinking of collectors when he said that and how Vita games will be potentially worth a lot later, but yeah lack of physical copies is not a good thing otherwise.

The only reason to get one is for when the mod scene eventually breaks it. Even then, the build quality of the newer model isn't much better than those jxds, so maybe that is a mute point.

Vita is starting to appeal to me...I have a 3DS but I don't play it that often...I hope they slash vita's price to like 90 buck so I can pick it up. At that price point it's a very good deal.

True (and it's not just in games, but again, I like MJ's videos personally), Jerry Seinfeld even bashed a good chunk of them.
