I'd have to say the 360 controller followed closely after by the gamecube controller.

GCN it was so comfortable. The Wavebird took my favorite controller and made it wireless.
The GCN controller doesn't look comfortable but when you use it it is really comfortable and fit perfectly in my hands.
360 is great. GCN would be great but the C-stick is bad.

Yeah for FPS it wasn't too great but still playable (I still managed to pour hours into Timeplitters 2 on GCN) But i liked it for SSB alot because it flicked easier than oher analog sticks could..

Yeah, I guess it did depend on what type of game you were playing. It was definitely the most comfortable controller. But I like a lot of shooters and it just didn't function as well as a true dual-analogue.
I guess that dephends more on the genre I am playing more than anything else. I like the Gamecube best for genres I like, but the 360 controller is more comfortable in other genres, like shooters, at the same time in some genres like fighters DS3>360 controller.
the dual shock 3 with real triggers attached is absolutely perfect, imo. i don't get all the love for the GC controller, i find it little awkward. but I know I'm in the minority and most people love it.
No I am not opposing but could somebody please tell me what is so special about the X360 controller? most people vouch for it in this thread and that means MS did something right in it's design.i wanted to know that reason why people are so impressed with the 360 controller.
I am used to the Dual shock series of controllers and they work like charm and having used the 360 controllers for quite some time now along with DS3 I feel i am better off with the dualshock. It fits my hands perfectly and works like charm.the D-pad of dual shock is better too IMO.
The DualShock fit my hands perfectly, and I love the stick placement. Can't think of anything they can do to improve it.
Dualshock, it fits perfectly into my hands and the analog sticks give you a wider range of control compared to the 360 pad's analogs.
The only things that Sony needs to improve on with the next DualShock are the L2/R2 triggers. Other than that issue, the DS3 is pretty much the best controller design out there. The DualShock fit my hands perfectly, and I love the stick placement. Can't think of anything they can do to improve it.

As I said in the thread that preceded this one a short while ago, (seriously, this topic pops up around here every two weeks it seems) the 360 controller is my favorite.
Easily the Dualshock. Although the Classic Controller Pro is just as great. Dualshock has been around longer though.
I hate the 360 controller and GC controller. Although the Wavebird was really kickass during its time.
Haven't voted yet, but I bet DS is leading by a landslide. Anyway, personally... Probably the GCN controller followed by 360.
Edit: Heh, it's not winning by much. A lot of SW mustn't be on.
its hard to say, i think playstations thumb sticks are placed better but I like the shape of 360's and the triggers a lot more.
