honestly this is the worst place to come and get advice on what to get, but here is the best answer

get a 360 this year, I'd get it in sept or october, then get the ps3 in the summer next year, that way your getting both machines at the same time the good games come out

then I'd get a wii next xmas

The Elite is a Way better deal than Premium, 120Gb Vs 20 Gb and HDMI out. For a Mere $80.

As a 360 Elite owner myself, I recommend the PS3.

And you need a blu-ray player for the PS3 in order to watch Hi-def movies because there aren't many good games out for it yet.

Ps3 is $20 more and you get Blu-ray, Wifi, and free online. XBL alone makes 360 cost more. $300 more to give it all the features included with PS3. As for hardware value it is hands down PS3.

As for games that's personal preference but unless you really care about Halo, at this point PS3's future is looking way way better. This fall alone PS3 is better imo now that UT3 and Haze are timed exclusive. Plus Lair, Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Socom, a few other minor exclusives, and the ridiculous amount of good multiplats. You'd be plenty busy with PS3 this fall and 2008 looks amazing. You can't really lose. 360 has good games up until now but 2008 looks barren. A few months ago 360 would've been a better pick but now PS3 has the games coming this fall and a really bright future.

I think maybe you should not quote anyone unless you can not post in that person's post. I fixed it for ya though. And no, I didn't need to quote that but since he asked "what do you think" I quoted him just because my first sentence was "I think that...".
