WOW Pikmin 3 is quite the looker (56K)

I can't get over how flawlessly executed Pikmin 3's visuals look

Shouldve made this thread at a later date though. Its E3 and graphics whores are bound to troll.

That ant eater thing's eyes almost seem to have depth to them past the surface. Also, don't know if previous Pikmin games had this, but the depth of field certainly works well for the game. Nice animations, too. Ground and wall textures don't appear all too great, though. Still looks pretty nice overall.

Me thinks your love for the series has you completely blind to reality.

Game should be awesome though so the average visuals don't bother me at all.

i think it looks beautiful too... the animations are are bit meh...

these guys would hyping it up if it was on 360 i think.

Can anyone tell me how did Batman or AC graphcs n Wii U look compare to PS3/360? cuz from what ive seen i wasnt impressed and overall even nintendo conference disaapointed me considering that I never cared about Mario the only interesting game was Pikmin3.

I doubt any cows or lems would be claiming this to be one of the most "visually stunning" games though even if it were exclusive to one of their respective consoles.

I really do think it looks gorgeous. Perhaps it's the fact that Pikmin has been missing for over a generation (8 years to be exact) and the graphical leap became all the more impressive looking as a result.

Batman looked worse. Seems like shader effects were dumbed down. I think its because of the WiiU Gamepad rerendering everything on the second screen. Either that or UE3 isn't fully optimized for WiiU yet.

I don't think its sub-par. For what it is I think its great! I just wouldn't personally describe it as the most visually stunning game I've seen.

this right here is the answer. Pikmin on emulator. Doesn't look much differnt from pikmin 3. Pikmin 3 is obvious that it has roots from the Wii.

It looks good, and that depth effect adds to the appeal of the visuals. It looks far better than the launch titles of the 360/PS3. But it doesn't look amazing.

Sorry about your thread, I like it. The visuals look very good to me, the effects work well with this game and I enjoy the artstyle, I can't believe anyone would say nothing is good about this artistically. Then again, this is coming from me, a guy who doesn't worry about graphics, power is nice, but if a game is good, I don't mind, I don't own a PS3 or Xbox and my PC is from 2004, can't even watch videos in 480p online. It isn't like I have never seen any of the stuff people brag about, but really, I don't see what is so special about it, guess that makes me a simpleton, and I'm fine with that, at least I'm not jaded though.

That being said, Pikmin 3 looks nice but that is about it. That's okay tho. It doesn't need to have mindblowing graphics.

I thought it looked pretty good myself, obviously nothing amazing or that we haven't seen better already, but it looks good to me.
