wow windows hologram seems insane.

The hologram stuff is pretty cool, less impressive to know they are using an occulus type device to actually use it however.

If Im not mistaken, Oculus requires a PC to be tethered to it. This is more like google glass.

Really? I was just assuming it was occulus given the clunkier looking headgear.

Win10 + improved interface + Cortana (even if it gave me some Skynet vibes >.>) + Spartan (seems like a genuinely different browser for once) + Xbox app + universal apps + cloud tech in several of those apps = One awesome experience! Can't wait until it releases! :D

Plus with all the awesome hologram stuff MS seems to have set it's goals pretty damn high for the future and seems to actually be achieving them! :O

Yeah, not nearly as clunky as oculus. It has a PC built into it with a proprietary Holographic Processing Unit, cpu, and gpu.

Overall pretty good briefing definitely looking forward to upgrading from 7 to 10.

Oculus makes Hologram look like a monocle.

Petty fricking awesome. Everything I saw wowed me. Windows 10 looks slick and the x1 integration is fantastic! I also cannot believe how far holo lense is along. It could be ready this year from what I saw.

I *think* I just got why MS payed so much for Minecraft......

Besides being a great IP to own on it's own, It will be their best tool to sell holographic gaming/applications. I'm guessing that's why MS went all in and payed so much to get it as fast it could.

Of course this is just my own speculation, so take it as you will.

You're going to walk in a lot of peoples houses and see the Hologram sitting next to the tissue and hand lotion.

This thing is going to sell millions....... My mind went straight gutter when I saw it.

I wish they were giving the free upgrade to Vista users. I'd be all over that, but if I were on Windows 7, I'm not sure if the free upgrade in the first year would be worth it.

@b4x You can't dual-boot if its the upgrade edition unless the altered windows registry "hack" that works on windows 8 upgrade edition.

However, I assume windows 10 will be an update thru the apt store like windows 8.1. So it won't work.

So this was a great event overall. I love seeing how bothered it got some people.

I would use it. All you have to do is leave your XB1 on and you could play your digital games on a laptop miles away. Just bring your XB1 controller. This will be the first thing I try when Win10 hits the XB1.

I mean, it would help explain why they were so willing to pay so much so fast. And honestly, if they pull it off (playing Minecraft on a Hologram environment) it could literally be their best tool to sell the device to your average Joe.

Assembling 3D models is cool (amazing really), but that makes more sense in a work environment. A game or even some sort of cool media display makes it easier for the average consumer to feel and get the device/experience.
