Will "The Devision" be heavily downgraded visually?

I am praying no. The new SnowDrop engine isn't proven yet so hopefully it wont lose anything to kill this awesome anticipation.

Of course, for the console versions. I wouldn't say it's fraudulent, since only idiots would believe that PC-rendered graphics in those demos will look nearly as good on consoles.

Anyway. It will be on the PC too, so thats hardly a valid argument. Plus the uglier the graphics, the better it might play, atleast on the Xbox One, The PS4's extra Processor thingy should prevent that happening. Still, it does seem abit Ambitious.

I have had no disappointments with Far Cry 3 except for the training wheels which I easily fixed on the PC. It's been the most fun FPS game I played since the Quake days.

Watch Dogs, Oops. I mean The Division. I'll wait until it's out and see if it's worth upgrading my video card for.

I think it will, most definitely. Just like Watch Dogs I bet that footage shown was running on a gaming PC like usual.

Looks like it will only get better on X1 graphically and will be the most hardcore game with crushing difficulty and lots of depth and customisation with hardcore RPG elements with tough survival featuring permadeath

It's a completely new engine by the Massive Entertainment group, not that crappy Assassin's Creed engine that they ported for Watch_Dogs. I have some faith. The last major game that Massive Entertainment did was World in Conflict and those graphics were amazing for 2007.

I would still get it if the gameplay was any good.

I just don't want to play an MMO, so I hope there is a singleplayer/offline aspect to it. Otherwise I'm skipping this one.

Gears Did no such thing. Ironically its not because of technical graphics, its because the apocolypse is just ugly and consists of only three colour, Grey Brown and Muzzle Flash.

@kuu2: that's a good comparison. Some game this gen has to utilize the hardware in a big enough jump to shock people, but I'm not sure UbiSoft is that company.

There were people that saw Gears and said no way, pre-rendered, not possible on the 36o.

AC was a graphic jump last gen though when it first debuted on systems. It could happen again with this game.

On PC, where they had unlimited resources (at the time) for visuals. Any closed platform gaming system will have limitations and the PS4/Xbone are doing nothing but proving that theory in spades.
