What You Want to See in The Next Uncharted?

do you guys think ND will make it radically different or will it be another roller coaster kind of game? Because I thought they made the best they could with what they had with the PS3 but now with the PS4 they have more room to breathe.

Nothing would kill my hype more than Uncharted 4 being another ultra linear game. It was fine for 3 games but please no more... At the very least I want more verticality in the level design and wider spaces but for the love of god... No more boring and generic open-world!

Are you guys expecting something in particular out of the game? Not related to story or characters because we pretty much know in what vein the story will be made but in overall game design, what do you want? How can they make Uncharted feel next-gen and not like a rehash like Uncharted 3?

Yea because open world games are automatically better than linear games.

Some of the greatest games ever are linear. And Uncharted is fine, let ND do what they do best, and that is create amazing games

I've had enough of these hollywood action games, I was burnt out in 2011.

UC4 would have to be pretty unique for me to care

It'd be cool if they'd open up the levels more. ND has great map-design talent to add to that. They could be creating some fantastic SP/MP maps if they take that approach.

I excessively welcome the idea of a different Uncharted for PS4 either way.

Uncharted......ohh you mean Unchanged yeah it will once again be same old, same old. Naughty Dog has to change it up, go cartoony or something, I really have no interest in another "DEM GRAPHICS" realistic game with a gun. Seriously lets see them make something not rated M, something not violent.

I expect linear, because they're gonna be pushing visuals. I hope it's open in the sense TLOU was. Just fairly big, highly detailed environments.

Good gunplay and platforming mechanics would be nice.

None of the Uncharteds are rated M.

I'm all up for more roller coaster type of experience. Its all Uncharted has been good at. If I wanted a more complex TPS experience I would look elsewhere

Nothing. Dont really care about another Uncharted game.

A single-player longer than eight or ten hours this time.

Quality SP and MP. Storywise I hope they give Drake a bit more to go on - witty retorts aside, he hasn't a whole lot of depth to him, particularly you recognize he just keeps lambasting hundreds upon thousands of other dudes. I dunno who has less care for human life, Drake or Stalin.

As far as gameplay is concerned, perhaps a bit deeper with the platforming. Otherwise, I think it functions just fine mechanically, albeit a bump to 60fps is highly desired.

Pretty much how I feel. I think Uncharted should stay relatively the same.

I don't expect much different but better visuals. People will buy it based on that alone.

Absolutely nothing. I don't want an UC4, I want a TLoU2.

-Better than mediocre gun play for once.
-Something that isn't a cut scene riddled liner movie.
-better puzzles.
-Better story.

Just add more cinematics, length, replayability.. some upgrade/cash system perhaps.. or new skills.

Well most importantly, ditch the multiplayer. Its always been garbage.

I have a feeling they will kill Nathan Drake. Which I'm perfectly fine with.

Combat gameplay deeper than a spoon.

I'm playing Tomb Raider DE on PS4 right now. That game is a much better Uncharted game than any Uncharted is. Naughty Dog is going to have to do something huge for UC4 to not be a letdown. I don't see this genre getting much better than Tomb Raider.

better aiming. the game is made sooo much harder because of how it aims. if it aimed like gears, tomb raider (minus slow mo) i could actually beat this game with no frustration

More QTE's and cutscenes.

Keep up the award winning excellence. No other game in the genre does it better than the Uncharted series, actually most fail miserably.

Lots of cool set pieces with amazing graphics. Also, no online multiplayer. I don't want ND wasting their time working on a feature I barely touched back when it was free.

I said it in a previous thread, more challenging platforming. It's ok to die when trying to make jumps and you dont hit it perfect.

at what point does UC2 get award winning? I'm at the rail yard level

I think there'd be a lot of people who would bitch about that, especially since a lot of the platforming has fixed camera angles.

I really enjoyed platforming in early Tomb Raider games and it seems like that mechanic is long gone. I enjoyed the shooting in U3, I got the head shot trophy early on, but you can always improve and I think they will, to what degree I dont know,.

ND actually had real gamers come to their office after U3 was launched to show what issues they were having at the time and tweaked it. I feel they ate the very least listen to criticisms and try to improve.

The Last of Us was a really good game, too. Uncharted 2 has some issues with the gameplay, but if you are a fan of big set pieces, and admittedly I can be a sucker for them, no other series does them better. Naughty Dog is a truly elite developer, and it's going to be hard for me to hold off on getting a PS4 when they start putting some games out.

I like the set pieces. I just want the great story to go along with it.
