What would happened if PS4 flopped and Wii U won?

What would happened if Nintnedo Wii U would sell like crazy(breaking all records), and then second console Xbox One also would sell crazy and PS4 flopped? and then Sony says: "This is it, we leave from console gaming"

What would you do then? What would be gaming if Wii U dominated gaming, Xbox One also sold crazy and PS4 flopped? What would happen with gaming in next 5 years?

It would basically be a repeat of last gen.

Yeah but Sony lost a lot money and Sony needs money. if PS4 flopped and made even more loss for Sony, then good bye Sony. Greedy Microsoft who is richest would be even more richer and he could do anything. He could buy Nintendo easily and dominate alone. Wii U would made less online gaming.

I think it would be disaster.

What would I do? I would be happy for Nintendo and Microsoft, and sad for Sony.

If the WiiU won, we'd be playing 360/PS3 level games for another 5 - 10 years :(

unlikely, people would have bought a X1 over a Wii U, and even that's a stretch as it'd be pretty hard for the PS4 to bomb, even if there was a 50-50 chance it got so hot it exploded and sent hot flying shrapnel into family members and killing them and causing the survivors to contract HIV then cows would still brave the risk

It would be nice to see the most gamer-friendly console actually win this holiday.

the real danger is for the userbases of the xb1 and ps4 to be cannibalized by pc gaming, which is getting better every year.

In theory the wiiu is immune from the worst of this since they have a very different space and it's based on Nintendo first party software

It's a Nintendo branded 360/PS3, that can't even run multiplats or do online as well as 7 and 8 year old systems.

What a stupid statement. PS4 has fantastic graphics. xBone has decent ones. Wii U games will look severely outdated within the year if they don't already.. And the original statement wasn't even about graphics. What about larger more detailed environments, more dynamic assets and resources

If this scenario actually happened, I think we'd see some massive changes in both Sony and Microsoft's strategies going forward.

Not to sound like I'm entertaining the possibility of a PS4/XBOX One flop, but considering the enormous splashes made by both PS4 and XBOX One's launches, there is an awful lot of Wii U buzz throughout the industry.

Yeah 2GB of RAM is nice, what about CPU and GPU and everything else though? How much is going to the tablet? How much is wasted?

Come talk to me when a WiiU game is bigger than Skyrim or GTAV, or prettier than Gears/Halo/Forza/Uncharted/God Of War/Crysis series', or with more enemies on screen than Dead Rising, or with better AI than Killzone 2/3, or with better online/community features than Halo, or with as many players as MAG, or with more customisation than Little Big Planet, or more destructible terrain than Battlefield/Red Faction, or really any sort of superiority in any way. Feel free to call back in 5 years when WiiU has done NONE of those things.

Face it, the WiiU will have some awesome games, but they'll be 360/PS3 standard, not next gen. Same as how the Wii's best games coulda been done on an Xbox original.

Best games, lowest price, best controller, no hidden fees.
