None and I really don't like that they intend to make a movie out of the Last of Us. Half of that game's story telling strength comes from having you play through certain scenarios. Just watching the events play out won't nearly be as effective.

Well games like the order, the evil within, and practically anything at 30 FPS is already cinematic. So why would games need a movie?

Yeah I think so. Unless for once someone actually does a decent job...

Thus far most video games based on movies have been terrible, with a few exceptions that are mediocre, and one or two super exceptions that are actually decent. On the other hand, nearly all the movies based on video games have been absolutely disastrous, and only a few exceptions managed to get to at least below average (i.e. Tomb Raider & Resident Evil).

Hollywood really needs to take a lesson from Japan. A lot of franchises in Japan have managed to successfully adapt across multiple media platforms, from books, to manga, to anime, to movies, to games, to physical collectibles, etc. The key to success appears to be loyalty to source material and consistency in treatment of fans.

Done in the same style and effort that Marvel and Disney has done to the Avengers franchise.

Because they hire always cheap screenwriter and director. Hire like James Cameron, Sam Raimi, Nolan or somone big. Hire good screenwriter.

Halo and Peter Jackson would be great.

Fox made Wolverine: Origins, and they also made X-Men: Days of Future Past.

See, just hire good director and screenwriter and you get good movie.

Some "games" are already movies, like MGSIV, and to lesser extent Uncharted and TLOU.

Watchdogs. I'd argue that Watchdogs would have been a better movie than game.

Killing Floor is getting a live action movie and depending on how well the community likes we will get a more in depth movies of killing floor world.

I'd like to see a Resident Evil movie that actually follows the games and mimics the storylines. Resident Evil 2 in particular.

Only a little over a year after it came out and already there's news about Last of Us becoming a movie, heh, that sure didn't take long. My first assumption is that the movie is gonna be a hell of a whole lot different from the actual game...
