What score should GTA4 haven gotten?

.. surprisingly I havent seen a thread like this before.

For the most part, most people on these forums have been pretty underwhelmed with the game, so just curious what you thought it shouldve gotten.

I think its a 9.5. No game this gen (other than footy games, but thats because im a fanatic) give me anywhere near as much replay value, much less a single player game (havent really tried multiplayer). Its not perfect tho, and has its fair share of minor faults which R* could improve upon. I wouldve liked to have seen more diverse landscapes for one,, much like GTASA

IMO the floaty cars physics are enough to drop the score down just slightly...it wouldn't be that big of a deal but since driving is such an integral part of the gameplay it really hinders the exp for me.

4 stars out of 5 (I hate /10 scales). It was good, but too many issues to warrant a 5/5 (check my blog for details).PBSnipes

I agree, I love the 1-5 scale, it's alot more to-the-point than the 1-10 scale. 1=sucks 2=bad 3=average 4=good 5=amazing. Its a simple as that.

From what I have played so far, I would rate it with a 9.0. It's been great.

9.5 at best gamespot wise, it was any other review site id go for a 9.6-9.7-9.8 type rating.

What I didn't like was the driving, losing missions and have to start all over again, save system, too many damn cops, squished in city, always have to crash when driving.

definately not a prime. the missions are extremely repetitive, the entire time you're driving it's like youre on ice, and the online is boring.(the maps are huge when there's only 8 people... something needs to be done about it.)

I am having fun with GTA IV, but this game is WAY over-hyped and WAY over-rated. A 9.0 seems fine.

Most of the reviewers, like scared little idiots, even said things like: "This game is by no means perfect, but..."

If this were the first GTA game, it would deserve a 10. Bein g that it is the FOURTH in a series, all the clunky movement, controls, and other mino defects should have been ironed out by now. And they aren't.

These game reviewers are scared that the little whiny kids in the forums would cry like little girls if they didn't give their beloved GTA a perfect score. Sellouts.
