i'll pick halo 4

They also did the Halo CE Anniversary port, however between that and Halo 4 neither were that great. Without Bungie the franchise is nothing.
I thought Halo 4 got great reviews, maybe I should check them out again.
Edit: yeah its got a 87 meta score, 9.8 from Ign and a 9 here at GS.
And yet reviews aren't everything. Halo 4 is not nearly as good as a halo game should be.
Ok cool thanks for the answer. As someone who hasn't played a single player Halo experience and no multi since the first, I think I'd like it and any like it as I have no expectations.

As someone that owns the whole series since it's inception, you may do yourself a favor and start from the beginning as it's very story driven these days.
Plus, 343 the new devs don't deserve the credit that goes to Bungie for creating the mythos, engine, and game series. Just my humble opinion. Halo 4 is a good game, but it was the first Halo main series game to not get a 90/100+ at metacritic, something the new team were trying really hard to do. There was articles about it and everything. Critics aren't everything, but that is the weakest one of the MAIN bunch to start the series.

Sweet well then I hope they hurry up and bring B/C in some form to the Xbox one.

I thought it was a great rerelease with some nice additions, but the real greatness of it was the multiplayer additions to Reach which was done by Certain Affinity. I would give the credit to Bungie who made the original game not people who made it pretty.
I agree though Halo is nothing without Bungie (or at least it is with 343i)

I'm not sure BC (as we know it) will ever happen, due to the X86 architecture and possibly financial incentive to keep the 360 market as strong as they can maintain it as it's a strong seller still.
A company Gaikai is working on a streaming/gaming solution but Sony owns them now.
I dug this recent Backwards Compatibility article up for you. It may interest you regarding their plans so far:
Unfortunately the short answer is no – you cannot play Xbox 360 games on the Xbox One. Microsoft has been quite adamant that Xbox One owners won't be getting backwards compatibility. But why?

:cry I'll have to hope for remakes then :( Thanks for your effort.

Bungie made Halo great and also ruined it (Reach)
I loved Halo 4 and it surprised me how much I did. Actually, I'm in the minority who believes it is my favorite in the series.
Same here. They had big shoes to fill, and they did just fine.

Yeah, I was obviously talking about the online activity.

Then what? Online activity is how the players perceive the game. Obviously, if 343 did "just fine" with Halo, you wouldn't see such a monumental drop off of players with little to no returns with map pack releases. They dropped the ball and it wasn't the first time. Most halo fans don't even like the newer games. Sure they sell well, but I guarantee you the games can do that from now on just off of name alone.

Online activity isn't the only way to see if a game was good or not. There's more factors to the game's activity dropping than just players not being pleased with the product.
I don't blame the people that stopped because the game's online portion was rough in the beginning, but it went through a ton of updates, and it ended up pretty well.
Yes, the game's activity isn't at an all time high, again, not just because people don't like it, but it's not a bad game by any means, unless you're the hyperbole loving kind.
I had a good time with the game, and 343 had a tough task ahead of them. They managed to put out a product that wasn't terrible, and I find they did good for that. I'm interested in how they will handle the next game.

it was their first game as a studio. game was good and fine. There sure was issues, but the studio even man up to it. as you cows say~ Greatness awaits?
Someone sounds mad that they only have a Facebook game (Resogun) to play on their PS4. Cheer up Sween, things will get better.
