What can Sony do to become top dog again?

Know i am a nintendo fanboy the most but i love all my next-gen systems except maby the 360..but aside the point.... Sony was top dog until the wii came out infact the PS2 AND PS1 easily are one of the best systems ever made, PS3 has been destroyed because of the WIIS more libary of games and 360s better live (even though i do prefer PS3 MORE than 360) the PS3 has lost the console war against nitedno without a doubth,what sony needs to do?i think they need to grab the 3rd part support first.Second create a new system thats so unique every hardcore gamer and even some casual gamers woud go to it.and 3rd become like SEGA spread insults thats why SEGA beat nintendo in the SNES AND NES saga,with help from sonic but yo u now.Oh yeah then finally create a mascot.One thatll wow the crowds.Okay im done know what do you guys think?

P.S I didnt know where to put this in the leagacy platforms or here so i just decided here if i have put it in the wrong spot i will gladly move it to the legacy platforms.

Find a good balance between the "core" market and casual market while having a customer friendly price and releasing games at a good rate...like the PS2. :P

Honestly, I doubt they will reign like they did thhe PS2, BUT, they are making a sizeable competition.

It all comes down to a better pricing IMO.

i think in sonys mind theyre still the top dog, so maybe if they stop thinking that they can really get the ball rolling again

Stop OVERHYPING the system's capabilities and games, Stop saying your games cant be done on another system, stop relying on "brand loyalty" to sell the system and ADVERTISE!! Hire some new PR guys that actually PROMOTE the system instead of tearing down others. (i know MS does it too, but we all know what im talkin about here) Start selling the PS3 as a GAMING system, and not this all purpose entertainment center with "value" that casuals care nothing about. They need to release countless surveys so that they actually know what gamers want(MS does this all the time, thats why i think they make great decisions for the most part) instead of releasing text chat on PSN when we all want voice chat. Cancel HOME and use that money to make PSN on par or better than LIVE.

Start fresh next gen.

take a page from Microsoft and Nintendo. Strip some of the options out of the current models to lower the price. Not everyone needs wireless adapters, memorycard readers, or hard drives.

Probably about 6-7 years. That is about how long I want it too more leaning to seven though for me.

Looking back DVD was what killed their competition - the Dreamcast. So it wasn't exactly a stupid decision, and the PS3 IS better off with the bluray. It's just more expensive.

I can't decide whether or not it's better or not without it.

Remember that because of the ps3 having blue ray, it allowed them to win the format war...They might not make profit on the ps3, but they sure are making profit from blue ray ;)
