What can save the Vita?

It's no surprise that the Vita isn't doing good especially with many user spelling its doom and gloom and await for what they believe is it's eventual discontinuation. The Vita is an impressive piece of hardware with a good launch lineup yet it's not enough for it to survive atm especially with the lineup of games coming for the 3DS. So I'm asking you guys, what do you guys think can save the Vita? Me personally believe that not only does it need real exclusive AAA titles on it but also Sony needs to show off the device's other neat and possible functions. We see people on Youtube with hacked PS3s being able to play them remotely with their Vita which could open the doors more for Vita and PS3 cross functionality. Also I've been saying this many many times before and I will continue to say it, the memory card's prices NEED to go down. The system itself isn't expensive but when you have to factor in the cost of a decent memory card and game it does. Also, a memory card NEEDS to be included in every Vita bundle.

You know I honestly though Capcom was going to swoop in and make MH4 multiplat and that was oing to save the Vita but I guess thats not the case. Idk, maybe the Vita is boned.

...why does this same question need to be asked here every week? what brought up 3ds sales, a price cut and games. The vita is no different.

need better marketing, based around the softeware. Making some esoteric artistic commercial is not gonna bring sales, nor is showing it off as some casual device that has Netflix, Youtube, and Facebook either. the casual applications are ubiquitous with every smart phone, every tablet, every device with wifi/3G/4G capability has. Need to differentiate itself from other electronics and that means the games.

Have your first party make unique IP's for it, personally i freakin' love Gravity Rush, but critics were mixed on it. Sony needs to keep at it in that angle, NOT telling people that Sly 4 on Vita will be exactly the same game as on PS3. Unless they are bundeling the PS3 version with a digital Vita copy, no one is going to spend 100 bucks for both version to experience the pleasure of just transferring saves from device to another. Vast majority of people who have a Vita, probably have a PS3 as well, and the vast majority of those people are gonna pick PS3 version over Vita if they're the exact same game.

take a lesson from Ubisoft, if your gonna make an existing IP on the Vita, then differentiate it. Play as Connor the male half-Mohawk half British Assassin in Assassin's Creed 3, and Aveline the female half-African half French Assassin in Assassin's Creed 3 : Liberation based in New Orleans.

That's what i think Vita needs.

More games from Japanese studios, considering JRPGs was the only reason i bought a PSP. Maybe Sony should get some 1st party games on there.

All the PS Vita needs is more time. Not enough software has been released for it yet so we shoulnt write it off yet. Hell, I want one but the only thing holding me back is money, and im also waiting for that AC3 Liberation bundle to come out.

You'll have to forgive my ignorance regarding current Vita advertising, but anyways...:

They could come up with a better tagline (or whatever you call it) than "#Gamechanger".

I don't understand the tagline one bit.
It's not catchy and the ads certainly don't do much in the way of explaining it either.
How did Sony go from "It Only Does Everything" to this?

And if I'm confused about the Vita, how confused are the casuals?

Hmm.... -32GB memory card that's ACTUALLY AFFORDABLE -PS1 support -More/Better PS+ support, including Instant Game Collection -Monster Hunter (Crapcom....!!!) -Final Fantasy Type-0 (Square Enix...!!!) -Valkyria Chronicles 3 on Vita (Sega...!!!) -Phantasy Star Portable 2 too And most importantly, MORE RISKS BEING TAKEN. Seriously, I can't stand how developers don't want to take risks because they think they'll lose money. They need some exclusives to sell the console (an RPG exclusive would be the best bet). I'm talking about something to match Pokemon for the 3DS. I mean, they need a big game you can't get anywhere else (not even PS3) to sell the Vita right now.

I think Johnny said just about right, also drop the damn 32gb memory card price to below 70 or something.

They'll need to lower the price of their memory cards or start bundling them with the Vita (something they should have done in the first place). Also it'll need more exclusives and not just console ports. And more advertising. Every store I go to has a large section for every system except the Vita. Fix that Sony.
