Today at the Sam's Club in Fayetteville I snagged a Wii U Zelda Bundle for only $98.71! Happy Hunting!

Nintendo is screwed..... Closes Sam's Club store to me is Idaho Falls. They quit carrying them last year. The 2 Walmart's close to me have only a few games a piece and no systems. I just figured they were selling better since the Nintendo Direct. But according to the guy I talked to they have started to send the Wii U stuff back.

WOW, would definitely buy one at $98

Probably wont ever play it, but it would be cool to preserve it in its original package and then see how much it would go for 40 years from now.

hey man block the serial number!

I would buy one if I was a sams club member.

I already have one. Bought for $300 with Mario U/Luigi U. Was worth it. :)

They offer a one day pass at most of them. I called the Salt Lake City Sam's Club and they have some for $130.00 with either Zelda or a Mario / Luigi combo (Never knew it existed.) Debating on getting my Sister to get me one.

I looked online and the regular price is still listed

I would imagine you should call and see if your location has them and at what price. If you are shopping for a system online I would think the sales would not be valid, if you can buy online from Sam's Club at all.

I have never worked retail electronics, but I assume similar principles apply to any situation where stock builds up and needs to go.

Nintendo already got their money for these units. The longer they sit around, the higher the chance the retailer will take a hit to get rid of them.

Means nothing other than people aren't buying them from those particular retailers.

I'm good, I already bought my Wii U last year at Target. Oh and by the way, Walmart is a terrible store.

#11 Posted by Opus_Rea-333 (1147 posts) -

Lol for 150 seems like a steal to play the new smash, mario kart 8 game and hopefully a new Pokemon game.

Meanwhile, the Walmart near me has an entire section dedicated to Nintendo, and they tell me it sells faster than Xbox One!

Anecdotes, man, how do they work?

#13 Edited by lamprey263 (26115 posts) -

Is this just Sams Club or Walmart too? I know ASDA which is like Walmart's UK outlet already liquidated their inventory last year, and I remember people mistook the firesale as a spike in demand.

I wonder what the manufacturing dates are on these units.

#15 Posted by KingsofQueens (2264 posts) -

Wow, that's sweet deal. I'd definitely snag a WiiU at that price.

@charizard1605: I was about to post something similar, haha.

Better use that voucher for Wind Waker now, they expire in early March. (that may be why that bundle was priced to move)

#18 Posted by StrongDeadlift (5332 posts) -

If that ends up being true, I would run out and buy one literally tomorrow. Not even for the Wii U value, but for the value of it being a Wii. I never had a Wii last gen and there were games I wanted to play. This bundle is roughly the price of an original Wii.

#19 Posted by m_machine024 (15233 posts) -

Hmm I'd get one right away at that price! :)

Yes, Nintendo is screwed. Lol timbers.

You really shed too many tears for Nintendo.

Nintendo, full-fledged Pokemon game for the Wii-U. Try it and see if it works. What do you have to lose at this point? No more rumble app bull. An actual effort would be nice.

Wal mart employee checking in. I tell people wii u sells like hotcakes for the lulz. We haven't sold one in weeks

For $100 even i would grab one just to play mario kart while drunk with friends

#27 Posted by Shewgenja (11572 posts) -

Snap! I might shop around tomorrow for one then.

#28 Posted by Krelian-co (13228 posts) -

dafuq time to buy one

#29 Posted by CrashNBurn281 (592 posts) -

Hell, when you find a good deal, jump on it. The Wii U is a good console. I have been having a blast on it. Its third party is severely lacking, but the first party titles are outstanding.

#30 Posted by Heil68 (48343 posts) -

That's a good price. Much better than the $349 we paid with a shitty pack in game.

#31 Edited by Joedgabe (5134 posts) -

which Wii U though ? the 32gb one ?

#32 Posted by Kingpin0114 (2603 posts) -

I need to go to Sams club tomorrow.

Is Wii U compatible with Wii games? I wanna buy one.

On the contrary, I couldn't have less shits to give about Wii U if I tried.

#35 Posted by timbers_WSU (6076 posts) -

This pic is on several websites already. Blocking his serial number is pointless now. Just read that not every Sam's is doing the deal.

#37 Posted by kitty (115048 posts) -

None of this ever happens near here, so no point in me getting interested. :p

It was one of the selling points to me. Enjoy. You have to buy a wiimote though. Otherwise I believe it is ready from the get go. The older games weren't programmed for the new pad.

#41 Posted by Grey_Eyed_Elf (4155 posts) -

That's a bargain.

In the UK I will wait till it drops to £150 then I will grab one till since the only games I want are Mario Kart and Zelda.

#42 Posted by Pray_to_me (3125 posts) -

Not gonna lie I still wouldn't get it for the space it would waste plus the scarlet letter effect of owning one.

#43 Posted by ninjapirate2000 (3278 posts) -

Is sam's club the same as a costco? I don't think there are any sam's club's in southern cali.

#44 Posted by DarthBilf (1357 posts) -

I would buy a Wii U in a heartbeat at that price.

#45 Posted by _Matt_ (9533 posts) -

Dayum, awesome price.

I think £140 is my sweet spot for the 32GB Wii U to reach before I invest currently.

Agreed. 300 + 2 games is a very good deal.

I think that 400 or 500 without any games is too expensive for a system, even if it is more powerful.

#47 Edited by Opus_Rea-333 (1147 posts) -

Microsoft with all their money should help Nintendo and Sony do this for all their remaining consoles.

People love cheap stuff.

But unlike PS4, WiiU actually has great games coming soon and great backward compability.

#48 Posted by speedfog (3456 posts) -

That is a steal man. Maybe a new model will come out. If lucky

#49 Posted by LegatoSkyheart (26621 posts) -

Good time to get a WiiU.

Though I wish Walmart would organize their Game shelves better.

Looks like we've found the magic price point for WiiU.

Make it happen Nintendo!
