Total War: Attila announced for PC - Coming February 2015

"The next game stars Attila the Hun, the leader of the Hunnic Empire in the fifth century, who was a feared enemy of the Roman Empire. Early details of the project were revealed at the UK games event EGX on Thursday, where it was announced Total War Attila would launch on PC and in 2015."

I was actually expecting a Medieval 3, but seems like they went with something completely new.

What do you guys think?

Lets hope they don't **** it up.

I'd rather they did something with the Warhammer license they have. Boo!

It's good that they make something new instead of another direct sequel, the last 2 were direct sequels (Rome 2, Shogun 2)

I hope they make a WW1: Total War one day but I dunno if it would work...

Setting doesn't really interest me much, was hoping for a warhammer fantasy title or maybe medieval. Will keep an eye on it though

It looks like what Rome 2 should have been on launch and a bunch of nice core changes to make it play a bit different.

I know they fixed their engine up quite a bit and Rome 2 is now a fun and challenging game because of it (AI actually works, game doesn't run at 5fps), but there were some fundamental design flaws that just hampered the potential greatness of the game. Looks like they've addressed a lot of these so I'll remain cautiously optimistic.

Interesting time period too. You can almost think of this as Medieval 3 as it takes place in the 400s. Like a pre-Medieval era. This is the start of the Dark Ages.

I was hoping for Total Warhammer but this is their standard follow up, a stand alone expansion aka Napoleon and Fall of the Samurai.

Rome II is free to play to play for 3 days. Going to install and try it out.

The Creative Assembly is one the best devs out there. Its probably Sega's best team.

I haven't come across a Total war game I haven't put over a hundred hours into yet, so buying it day one. Man though, I hope it isn't just the last one with an UI edit.

Hopefully people learned their lesson about pre-ordering Total War games by now...
