According to insider shinobi602, he said that The Order turned out the way it did because of time constraint. Most of RaD's work went toward the Engine and working fast.

Apparently a sequel more focused on gameplay is being planned by RaD but not yet greenlilghted by Sony. The focus on gameplay is not because of the backslash but because they now have the Engine in place and it won't take over 3 years to make.

This game should have been on the Vita. Ready at Dawn isn't READY to play with the big boy consoles.

I don't think their will ever be strong demand for more of The Order. Just call it a hunch.

Keep in mind if GS would have gave the game an 8 , like they do COD every year it wouldn't have got ripped so hard on this sight. You can argue COD is all about the MP but its the same thing every year. COD:AW was the first COD i bought in 5 years and I can say it was terribly disappointing. Just the exact same thing with nicer visuals this time. I personally think "The Order 1886 is a far superior game and it only got a 5 so all in all I have lost much respect for Gamespot.

I actually enjoyed the game, it was far from perfect but the world they created was outstanding. I would love to see a sequel and I would also like to see how the other supernatural elements play into the sequel.( I wont spoil for anyone).

That would be nice, but I don't see that flying with suits up top. Making the best looking game on consoles is an accomplishment, but it isn't going to earn back money.

Meh. I know the the game left itself open for many prequels or sequels, but they'll need to do something much, much better than The Order to pull me onto the hype train. Also, assuming the rumour is true, it yet remains to be greenlit and I assume that will be very, very dependant on sales they may or may not get.

I married gaming thinking we'd gameplay at least two to three times a week. But since the marriage it's been once maybe twice a month and that's when I'm lucky.

Gaming has sent me into the hands of another lover, the Wii U. The last bastion of gameplay.

I blame gaming.

The Order 1886,5.

Galahad is no longer a Knight of the Order. He has abandoned his fight against the Lycans. He now wanders Europe to find the best combs for his mustache.

In the sequel, the player will be able to inspect combs by pressng triangle like in the first game. However, by pressing Circle, Galahad will comb his 'stache, in full close up detail.

Will be 12 hours long, but no shooting sections. Depending on which combs the player collects, the game will offer different ending, each with a fully different mustache style.

Regardless, the ending will be another sequel bait, where we Galahad turn into a Lycan himself, now left to search for more combs for his hair.

You know what KILLS me about this game? I recently discovered that it's a steampunk take on King Arthur and the knights of the Round table. That premise alone should inspire some of the coolest stuff imaginable. A steampunk King Arthur and this was the best they could do with that idea?

Seriously. I planned on quitting gaming entirely. Gameplay seemed like some wild fantasy that came back to me in my dreams. Wii U taught me that there is still a place for me. If all I had was The Order and the twins I doubt I'd be gaming anymore.

I'd humor the idea that a poor first game could lay the foundation for a much better sequel. Mechanically there seems to be nothing wrong with The Order as a shooter, but it's super uninspired and predictable at this point. It's a derivative wack-a-mole shooter with an intrusive presentation. Which they deserve credit for their understanding of cinematic language and being immersive, but their actual gameplay does so much to knock you out of it.

10 years ago Resident Evil 4 had more gameplay ideas than a lot of the primetime shooter releases of the last year and a half combined. Which at this point has gotten ridiculous.

Time Constraints?

They had a whole extra year.

I knew not to get my hopes up when I first found out that the dev team making this game was Ready at Dawn.

RAD has only ever made God of War games for the PSP. From PSP to PS4 is a huge jump and obviously too much for them.

love the crew, amazing setting, great engine, solid shooting mechanics, story is nowhere as bad as some are saying. It has potential but it needs to be three times longer and much bigger. Would like a small city to explore like the one in LA Noir. Now if its as short but a little bit less linear then f*ck The Order 2 or whatever it'll be called.

What sort of damage control is this? 'We didn't have time to put a game in there because we were too busy with everything else which doesn't matter as much'. You can really see where their priorities are.

Also, their ability needs to be questioned. It took them and Santa Monica all this time to come out with this?

Well, I'm guessing their initial plans was for this to be a free pass hit and follow up the anticipated success with an instant good news that another game is already in the works... well, things don't always go as planned. Still, they did actually make a great looking game, it'd be a shame not to give them one more shot to redeem themselves. Anyhow, it's still kind of early, maybe this game will sell regardless.

Not to burst bubbles, but CoD campaigns are horrible, and half way through a game after 4.5 hours is horrible as well. Especially when it costs 60 bucks.

Now, let's hope to God there's not many more people like this who actually spends money on this crap.

They should have done when DMC4 did and have you backtrack to the start halfway through the game. Would have had a 16-20 hour campaign then.

LOL, no. Right now any contracts that were written are going through the paper shredder. Sony may have been nice telling Not Ready at All that they have a sequel secured but that was just to save face. In reality Sony will probably sue RaD and demolish the building once they are thrown out on their asses.

The game was fun in my opinion. Much better than the reviews made it out to be. The story is well done and there is a nice twist in the story. Gameplay is solid and the guns are fun to shoot. The AI isn't bad either for when I move cover, they shift and try to flank. Especially the shotgunners.
