Kirby Adventures! (Hoshi no Kirby!) *for Nintendo Wii*
The levels will be rendered in 3D, but the game play will remain a side-scroller, much like in Kirby 64. The game will utilize a new attack system, which allows Kirby to ride on the backs of up to three other characters. Those characters will also be playable by other human players. Kirby can get abilities from partners or enemies, like in Kirby Super Star. Another return from Kirby Super Star - as well as Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Kirby: Squeak Squad - is the multiple moves for a certain ability.
Sixteen powers have been confirmed to be in the game. These powers are Beam, Bomb, Clean, Cutter, Fighter, Fire, Hammer, Ice, Parasol, Plasma, Stone, Sword, Tornado, Water (an ability that was only seen in the anime), Wheel, and Wing.

The game was announced for the Nintendo GameCube at E³ 2005, but so little information has been revealed since then that rumors sprung forth that it has been put on hold or even cancelled. The game was absent from the show floor at E³ 2006.
On May 26, 2006 when IGN released an article which states that a number of games, including a "generically labeled Kirby game" will be released for the Wii console. The article also states that this information was gathered from the Japanese release list found on the corporate site of the Japanese Nintendo webpage.
As of September 14, 2006, a list of upcoming games in Japan for Wii has included the title 星のカービィ (Hoshi no Kirby). While the list is labeled with the Wii name, a number of titles that were previously listed as being released on other Nintendo systems are listed on it as well. For a further note, quite a number of games have shifted from one system (presumed cancelled) and released on another.
In addition, the December issue of Nintendo Power removed the game from the upcoming GameCube titles list, but did not place it in the upcoming Wii titles list.
On February 02, 2007, Matt Casamassina of IGN has stated that the Kirby game is indeed on its way to the Wii, and could possibly see a release later this year.
Following the announcement of a Wii version in Japan, IGN's GameCube Kirby page was updated to include a U.S. release date of "TBA" (To Be Announced), despite no longer appearing on Nintendo Power's upcoming GameCube titles list. Considering what happened with Super Paper Mario, it is likely that there will be a Wii version of Kirby in the U.S.
On February 22, 2007, IGN released a list of Wii games announced by Nintendo of Japan in a recent press conference that were slated for release in 2007. 'Hoshi no Kirby' (among other previously known games) was on the list, although a specific release date was not disclosed.
