The last game to make you say WOW!!

What is the last game to truly make you go WOW thats amazing, it can be due to graphics or gameplay or sheer joy.

for me it was in 2008 with metal gear solid 4, there were numerous holyy ---- moments. but since then no game truly took my breath away. how about you guys?

Duke Nukem Forever. "WOW! This game **** sucks." On a more positive note, probably GTA 4.

Gears of War. honorable mention to crysis with mods.

Last game that I've played to make me say "wow"? GTA 4

The latest game released that really elicited a "wow" response from me was Mass Effect 2 last year. That Suicide Mission was insane! :D

Vanquish - Visuals and gameplay(PS3)

Alan Wake -Visuals and gameplay (360)

Shogun 2 Total War - Visuals...wow that's alot of people on screen (PC)

Mass Effect 2 at the Shadow Broker's ship. The was the best level in both Mass Effect and one of the best in any games I have ever played.

Just off the top of my head, playing Crysis for the first time, Uncharted 2, and certain moments in Crysis 2.

I'd give that to super paper mario, the first playthrough for me was an absolute joy, i had never had that much fun playing a single player game.

Dark Sector

Mainly in the "WOW you actually payed money for this thing!?:?" catagory. I honestly don't understand why my cousin likes this game so much.:?

Hmm I was just playing Uncharted 2 yesterday and when you were on that super high hotel the game looked amazing, by any standard

infamous 2 for many things but the thing that really shocked me was the loading. Even for a none open world game it would insanely short

Bad Company 2 made me go WOW! It's a fun game.ModernSnivy

Just Cause 2. This game is like a million times better than GTAIV.

Batman: AA, most awesomest game ever

Dead Space 2. The part where you meet and fight the Tormentor. I can't think of any other piece of a game with that level of insanity in gameplay or any scene from an action movie as intense.

In recent memory, there was infamous 2 for its awe-inspiringlyepic evil ending, it was so sad. Also for MGS4's incredibly long and epic ending, I'm a newcomer to that series but even I appreciated the way that they beautifully tied up all the loose ends and perfectly ended Snake's saga.

God of War 3. The boss fights were insane.

Heavy Rain

I really really liked the game. Sadly, Heavy Rain is not as good on a second play through.

Hmm... just (finally) got to play Limbo (mainly because I do not have a 360 at the moment and bought it on PSN an hour or two ago).... WOW. So atmospheric and deep in a minimalistic way. And it has that early black and white -cinema kind of feel to it, like when you boot it up or go to the pause menu.tume-x

Mass Effect 1 (The Virmire part really gave me the chills in a good way. Epic scene, epic gunfights, amazing music, and a sad but still awesome choice)

Mass Effect 2 (Beat the game 6 times, the first 2 playthroughs definetely floored me)

Uncharted 2 (Obvious reasons)

Crysis 2 on the Xbox 360. The game just looks amazing!
