well I played a good 3+ hours today and got absolutely nowhere. This is how you do an open world. It's unbelievably massive and rich with meaningful content.

I'd also like to mention that the stealth has been improved greatly and that every assassination contract gives you a bonus for taking out your target stealthily. It's all very well designed.

I like how people are buying it just because it got a 9.0, AC3 got an 8.5 and people shat on it.

It's why I'm still skeptical

No, people shat on AC3 after having played it and realizing how much it sucked.

After having put in over a dozen hours into AC4, I can confidently say this is at least as good as AC2, if not outright better. It's incredible how much of a difference in quality there is between this one and AC3. It's like AC1 and AC2 all over again, but this time they were separated by only a period of a year, which makes it that much more impressive.

How does stealth work? Are assassinations structured so you always have the option of approaching targets stealthily or guns blazing?

Will I miss anything from this game if I didn't play AC3?

You'd gain something from not playing AC3. It was a big pile of broken mechanics

Story wise I don't think it ahs anything to do with it.... in fact does this game have the Animus at all? after how 3 ended I never even thought about it
