Crisis core was a horrible mishmash of a story, Kingdom hearts? I'm still confused as to if sora's home actually exists...you can see the island from his bedroom window but you cant see any land when your on the island...which in the end leads me to believe that it will come out that the story of kindgom hearts only happend in soras messed up imagination.

Sakaguchi made far better stories then Nomura ever did, and he did it without angsty emo leather chain wearing teens.

Nah. As much as I enjoyed KH and TWEWY's story they were nowhere near "top dog" in the industry.

:P meant you were kidding right? He is a far cry from being the best in the story department. Maybe best zipper artist though. He can put a zipper on anything. YKK(produces 90% of the world's zippers) should use Tetsuya as their mascot.

He didn't write FFX and he only contributed to FFVII. As for KH,well, it's terrible.

No idea who he is, but from the way you're gushing I assume he wrote the story for Planescape:Torment? If so, i agree, he's up there.

Although KOTOR had a great story, he did that too I presume?

Unless he's the writer behind the TERRIBLE Square(Enix), games with terriblle writing, characters and narrative.

I assume a lot of the story was lost in the craptacular translation. Atleast I hope it was a crap translation 'cause the writing was special needs.

He didn't write TWEWY, that game actually made sense. He just designed some of the characters. As for KH, I played Birth By Sleep for the first time about a month ago, its story makes no sense whatsoever. If I hear the word "darkness" one more time I'm chucking my copy out of the window. Hell I even took the time to look into the story of the other KH games...Its just a convoluted mess of lolwut?...

Replaying FFX earlier this year left me with the impression that it was the best FF story. Bad VA work aside.

Let's put things into perspective. Kingdom Hearts is the only game that Nomura has done more than just character design...The story in these games was made by:

Crisis Core: Kazushige Nojima

Final Fantasy X: Kazushige Nojima

Kingdom Hearts: Kazushige Nojima (this one is just a convoluted mess that shouldn't even be called a "good story" cus is not even average)

In my opinion Nomura sucks. He makes males that look like females and females that look like dolls. Then when it comes to gameplay it's all button mash. After he said that FFvsXIII battle system was going to be like Kingdom Hearts and very fast paced I already know what to expect. In all seriousness I have little faith in FFvsXIII but Americans like to button mash so everything will be fine but I had enough button mashing with FFXIII. The "X" button on my Dualshock controller is not going to be the same anymore... :o

Nomura is an Art Director and designer. He didn't write the storyboards for any of those games.....

And J-RPGs usually have terrible cliche stories from a writing perspective (not saying they aren't enjoyable)

Trust me, once you've learned that anime isn't the pinnacle of story telling you'll understand.

KH would be fine if KH II didn't screw everything up, and these horrible spin-offs had to come out to try and make ANY sense of the game. KH was charming and fun, but not the "best" story ever I would say. Still a nice original and heart warming tale that made the game enjoyable. yoshi_64
