Did anyone played or even tried old console games on thier phones?
i did tried genesis, snes and PS1 games on my phone. although genesis games work perfectly. PS1 games controls bad.
I have a Witcher question and I'm confused as shit as I must have missed something. This is up to and included episode 4.
Spoilers!
What the hell happened in episode four? Geralt was at a party with the king and queen who died in episode one. I know it was a flashback of sort, because it was showing how Ciri came to be.....but the bard was with Geralt at this party, right??? What am I missing here?
Only had two DUI crashes last night... and somehow South Park came to mind during work regarding their recent episode for Christmas. Smh.
On positive news, I don't work tonight and I bought the lady a Switch. So I'm curious to see how Diablo 3 plays on it.
Merry Christmas y'all.

I was confused by the exact same thing.
The three story arcs take place in a different time periods, and by decades at some points. They end up converging near the end.
Only at the second area in Nioh and getting my arse kicked left and right. Also the boss in this area is way too hard.
Mike Matei is being elitist on gaming again.
Retweet if you agree: If you use the “rewind feature” that’s now standard on many NES and SNES games available on Switch, you DID NOT by any stretch of the imagination beat the god damn game.

That’s not elitist, that’s a fact. You didn’t beat the game.
So I never beat Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time then? Good to know, Champ...

That was a game designed around using it.
These are games long after release adding it to make it easier. Because back then many games were deliberately designed to be as big an asshole as possible, with game design now not about challenge but comfort.
I feel like a dirty cheater using the rewind feature on my SNES mini, so I tend not to use it.
There's a difference between beating a game and finishing a game, imo.
That's the definition of using cheat codes back in the 90's lol.
Man, revisiting this site five years later is a breath of fresh nostalgia. How is everyone? Used to post here as an 11 year old kid (obviously) pretending to be like 30. Was funny times, cringy looking back at some posts though.
Favorite games I've played this year are RE2 (still need to finish) and Outer Worlds (Always have been a big Obsidian fan). Currently playing Prey for the first time, gives me major System Shock 2 vibes. It better not end the same though ;[. Not a fan of the respawning enemies in the game, because the atmosphere and exploration is so good, so respawning enemies kind of take away from me wanting to explore.
Currently a UNIX junior sysadmin /programmer and finishing a compsci degree at UCSD. Doubt anyone remembers me, but I do recognize quite a few posters. System wars as a kid was so fun, so much sh*t-flinging and flamebaiting. It looks like it's calmed down heavily, maybe a good thing haha.
Not sure if I like the new sight design, but what do I know.

Doing okay. Good to hear from you.
Finishing season 2 of The Orville. A huge improvement over the first season.
LOL the Redskins hired Ron Rivera to a 5 year deal. Have fun with that! So glad he's out of Charlotte.

Welcome back.
Watching Silence Of The Lambs it kinda highlighted what I hated about the tv show.
Everything in that movie feels absolutely grimy and dirty. With simple straight on face-shots, the only element that feels supernatural is Hannibal himself. Buffalo Bill feels (and is based on) real killers, it's the grounded nature of it and Jodie Fosters performance where she comes across as both strong and vulnerable that helps make it an amazing movie.
The TV series was fap-fap self adulation, where every frame was trying to be some beautiful profound wankery with deep psychological bla bla with characters who sound like emotionally def mutes (because that means they are intelligent yo). Glad that shit was cancelled, really was shite.
I just finally watch all the Mandalorian episodes and all of them were on point. I was engage in every episodes, didn't felt the pacing slow down on each episodes, this is clearly the best Disney's Star Wars I fully enjoy since Rogue One. Granted, Episode 8 is indeed my favorite and Gideon, I was hoping for Gideon to be a former Inquisitor but ISB works. And him having the Darksaber is awesome!
Best thing about this series is...not a single Lightsaber was lit throughout this season. The Jedi maybe the Holy Grail of Star Wars, but just glad none show up for this one. Bill Burr was a great edition to the series and hope he comes back in season 2.
Happy New Year, SW!
Wishing you lovely people all the best in breaking old cycles and lots of success in any new beginnings.
See you all in Spring. :)
@davillain-: Yeah The Mandalorian was the best show of the season, even better than His Dark Materials, which was also fantastic.
@heathen75: Good shit, dinner in a wrap.
