Super Mario 3D World vs. Sonic Lost World (Wii U)

Yeah, going with 3D World on this lol. My only issue with 3D World was that it had the burden of being the follow up to something as brilliant as SMG2.

Lost World wasn't the gutter trash that people have come to expect from Sonic, but it's no 3D Mario.

I was told my comparisons to Metroid: Other M and Sonic 06 or Mario Galaxy II and Starcraft: Brood War (the latter I retract, now saying it has more in common with Jedi Academy, being that they're stand alone sequels that have more in common with expansions) we're bad, but this?

I'm assuming you are talking about Sonic Lost World, I thought the game was viewed positively? And I quite liked it. One of the better Sonic games in years.

Ok... I thought LW was generally favored looking around, but I guess I must be crazy then.

3D World is a far better game. One of the best Mario games in fact.

Looks like it's average then. Guess the reviews and fan input I heard were minority. It seemed alright to me, oh well.

Lost World is terrible and Super Mario 3D World is awesome. This is an easy choice.

Game looks pretty decent for a Sonic game, i can see why it has a growing fan base.

Lost World sure beats the heck out of Boom, but I was rather bad at the game and the bosses/characters were just... awkward. It wasn't a bad game, but felt average in my opinion. I did really enjoy 3D World on the other hand.

I have still yet to buy Super Mario 3D World simply for the fact that Nintendo will not lower the price on a two year old game, it's ridiculous.

there is a speed run option...so we didnt need a time limit on regular mode.

I keep hearing that Sonic 3D Galaxy World is underrated. Waiting for a price drop and maybe I'll check it out.

Sonic has never even been close to Mario greatness. Not even the good Sonics.

Both games suck, but I disliked Lost World more. It's a huge step back from the progress made in Generations.

This. Galaxy 2 was much better than 3D World, and Generations was so fantastic, that I'm still playing it four years later.

Well, I haven't played Last World, so I'm not sure. 3D World was one of the best Mario games I've ever played, though, so I'm thinking it's probably the better game.

For my money there is no such thing as a Sonic platformer that is better than an actual good mario platformer (the new super mario bros stuff sucks), so I'll just assume that the good time I had with 3D World is ultimately a better game than sonic lost world.

3D World was fantastic filled with great levels even if it plays a little on the safe side...but denying the fun factor in the game aside from the variety on almost every single world would be dumb...as for Sonic, i haven't cared for a Sonic game since the 90's so yeah...i'll go with the big boys on this one, Super Mario 3 World.
