This game is due out in march, after about 10 years of developement. here are some pics more pics can be found here http://www.firingsquad.com/media/gallery_index.asp/179/2 here is a preview http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/stalker/news.html?sid=616491 I can't wait for this game, the gameplay looks to be great, the AI has been in developement for a long time and according to the Devs was the thing that slowed down the developement. This game has FPS, RPG, and survival horror elements, where your character much rest, eat and even urinate. The engine is called the Xray. the requirements seem to be 2.0ghz CPU, 1gb ram, 6800GT. This game doesn't have revolutionary graphics but non the less it looks very good. If anyone has some other info onthis game please add it here.

Yeah, hope it turns out well, I'm worried about that urinating part though.  On the other hand it could lend a whol new level of depth to a firefight...

I won't complain about the jaggies , ill put it on the Picture quality , otherwise , the game look nice ( from what I reed about it ) . Pretty graphics doesn't make a game , so you should bring some of the Features of the game .

Nice that it's finally coming out, I was a little worried.

The graphics are ok, but the lighting is pretty good.

I like that they modeled miles and miles of the city with explorable building, I just hope the storyline is good. here are a few more pics:

Jaggies aren't a problem in PC games. Just about every game has AA.......

With all the Hype for Halo3 and Crysis this game very often gets overlooked. This game will definately offer alot, and looks to be much deeper that both Halo and Crysis. This game just might set the standard for AI.

I lost all hype for this game, when they said there was no co-op anymore and " we might add co-op in later with a patch" cause we all know thats that ain't gonna happen :roll:

Co-op could have made this game amazing ! but noooo dev's ( especially for PC ) continue to ignore the demand for co-op games.....

It has nothing to do with any World War, and by no means it looks generic. This game is not about running and gunning, it has a lot of RPG and survival elements.

Stalker might not have all the technologys that Crysis has but the graphics are still very pretty :P
Deus Ex wasn't overlooked by everyone, Crytek got some hands on it. Stalker and Crysis will both have hawt weapon accessories(sp)...

I want both... Both for single player and Crysis for multiplayer... drop Crysis a few months later and get Fronlines:FoW(being made by the old Desert Combat team)

I always knew console fanboys were the graphics whores. With all that fighting about which version of CoD 3 or Fight Night looks better etc.

Those are some high requirements. I remember playing the latest leak build with a X800 GT and it ran 60 frames easy.

Yeah I just got lazy to type the periods, No one knows the minimum, but the devs recomend 2ghz cpu, 1gb ram and 6800GT. It will have SM1.1 and sm3.0. Nvidia is partners with the Devs so it should run a little better on Nvidia harware.

Our game doesn't have Crysis graphics but Stalker still looks very pretty and will run well. :P to sum it up

STALKER is a totally different type of FPS that FEAR. It's completely open-ended and a FPS/RPG hybrid.

Do you even know what happened at Chernobyl?  It was the single worst accident in Nuclear technology, radiation was detected in England, even today children born there have a chance of developing Leukimea.  It's not at all something they should be making a game with mutants in.

I played the beta (due out to fileplanet subscribers in the following weeks) and I must say the multiplayer was like a hyped up Counter Strike with RPG elements. Not my bag of tea. The graphics were shoddy, but DX9 hadn't been implemented yet. I do love my Russian games (Midnight Nowhere, Boiling Point, Vivisector..................Tetris), but something about this game makes me go o_0

Oh, you think I don't know that? thanks for being a complet jackass and not even considering the fact that I am Jewish. This game is the equivalent of making a WWII game where you're fighting against zombies from the Holocaust.
