this is about Sony winning summeray proceedings againts LG, this is only a provisional victory for Sony at the moment. The Big one is still up for grabs

A quick summary;

Sony wins the appeal made against LG and LG has to give all the 300.000 confiscated PS3's back. For each consecutive day LG hasn't returned the PS3's yet...LG is fined 200.000 a day. And LG has to pay legal fee's of about 130.000 euro's. As of tomorrow morning 11.00 pm, PS3's are allowed to be distributed again.
Funny fact is that LG reported a net loss of 180.000 because Sony infringed patents...but now they have to pay up even more.

To be clear, this is only the case regarding the confisquation of PS3's. The cases of patent infringments are still going on.
Not a real victory for Sony but at least LG got put down for their overreacting.

This didn't say anything about the patent stuff. Just the stored PS3's can be released to the public now. And LG has to pay the damages from this. 130,000 euros and maybe more I don't know.
