Where's Sony? Halo is sitting pretty with 40% of the vote while Forza Horizon 5 has 10%. Returnal? Ratchet & Clank? *Crickets*

RE8 is an abomination of a video game that is not even worth mentioning.
Forza5 is a racing game. Let that sink in.
Mobile Side Scrollers don't deserve to be on any kind of GOTY lists.

Halo Infinite is the most barebones Halo ever created. If this wins, it'll show you how miserable 2021 was.

Great list of games there. Loved Forza Horizon 5, Halo: Infinite multiplayer, Metroid Dread, and Resident Evil Village. Excellent games indeed. Never played It Takes Two, just not my cup of tea.

Returnal deserves GOTY more than all the titles listed above, but i would never give Returnal goty if the year had anything meaningful. Imagine 2022 being as bad.

Damn, first time since 2014 Sony hasn't had a title as a nominee for VGA and I think the first time Microsoft has had a final nominee title, let alone two on the final list. They really flipped the script this year, good stuff.

Returnal was a decent budget game that people didn’t give a chance because Sony had nothing else to sell, so they pumped the price up thinking that Cows would assume it an AAA game. That’s on Sony….but better than any of those games mentioned above? Please.

Halo Infinite is in the list? Are these gamers basing that on the multiplayer that is in beta? If true, that is an odd choice.

What a fantastic list hahaha. Halo is releasing tomorrow but it's pretty much guaranteed to be epic. Forza might be a racing game but it's the best one made to date. And metroid is another classic nintendo title. Re8 also, nothing but good things to say about it. Theres a few salty people out there that hated on it, but its nothing worth listening to.

Jokes aside, Forza obviously deserves to be on that list granted it's not a story driven game, it's still a marvel through and through. Halo though, not so much. No one has played it yet.

And why was it good for Xbox? Infinite is a 2020 game that was delayed and you had absolutely nothing for the whole of 2020. Do you have any idea how Sony would be crushing MS if they delayed all their exclusives from last year such as Demon's Remake? Cuz that's essentially what MS did. But even then, Halo Infinite, with over six years of development, is launching in the most barebones state we've ever seen this so called flagship franchise being. There isn't even a mission select in that thing wtf.

@blamix: They're weren't snubbed. Xbox didn't have a single quality exclusive from 2012 to 2021 so its not the same.

Sony has produced GOTY winners almost every single year. 80% of the recent GOTY winners were in fact PS exclusives.

But this is just a poll and obviously xbox fanboys going crazy.

The actually critics awards will be dominated by Sony for the 7th year in a row (Deathloop, Returnal, R&C:RA)
