Well I played my XB1 without taking the Kinect out of the box, so it was never listening, and yet you say that Sony reckon you can turn it off, and I bet they can turn it on without you knowing.

I dont like the looks of it. The black pic posted in here look far better. My biggest complaint with the PS4 and PS5 controllers is the large touch pad forces the share/option buttons in a awkward position. I was hoping for the stick layout to be more like the xbox. But honestly i think both Sony and M$ should make controllers with both layouts so a player can play the way they like.

AA battery option would have been nice!

Nice, this will mean the console itself is white this time. I do have some reservation on the grip size, from pictures it seems the dualsense is a bit smaller compared to DS4. Hope I am wrong.

Looks amazing. Playstation's best controller design to date. Very sleek and nicely contoured. Gonna say I am a fan of the dual tone design. On that point to everybody wanting a black version, and I'm all for consumer options, the more sensible route would be to reverse the black and white placement, and I suppose also single color black and white models as well.

And i don't pay for xbox live doesn't mean you don't have to pay to play online.

It looks pretty sick, I honestly don't know why we ever needed a lightbar on a controller in the first place, I would say scrap that to prolong battery life.

@robbie23: This isnt just for you but for everybody saying it...the ds4 light bar didnt use that much juice, it wasn't the reason why the controller had less play time then say the ds3 did. Its a led light under there, they use very little power to run.

I have smaller hands. I disagree completely. When playing shooters, my left thumb hurts. This has never happened with the xbox layout.

@hardwenzen: I'm with Robbie. I have small hands too and playing shooters on the Xbox controller cramps my left hand from being torqued

The Dualshock 3 lasted about that long, and my 360 controller lasted a long time on rechargeables too.

The Dualshock 4 has the extra burden of the light bar, the touchpad, and it outputs sound. It's obviously some combination of those things that drain the battery. My guess is the touchpad is the biggest culprit. Hopefully they figured out a way to minimize the battery drain (or just give it a stronger battery). I'd honestly cut every one of those "features" to get back to a 40 hour battery life.

I don't own an xbone controller, and have never used it for over an hour per seating, so i can't speak for that one. But i did own and played a shitton on the original 360 controller which has the same placement, and never had any issues compared to what i have with the DS4. The triggers are another part of the DS4 that i dislike.

@navyguy21: I play a lot of Tekken, Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat. Couldn't imagine playing with the d pad asymmetrical from the face buttons. If all you play is first and 3rd person games, Xbox controller is fine, but it sucks for fighters. Playstation controller fits with every genre which is why it's most popular.
